Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (Signed)

  £395.00

“On Friday the 13th, Jason is back. But this time, someone’s waiting.”

Firelight cuts through the woodland darkness in Juan Ramos’ atmospheric alternative movie poster for “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood”. Jason Voorhees towers beside a campsite, swinging a victim in a sleeping bag towards a tree in a depiction of one of the film’s most notorious moments. The orange glow of the campfire contrasts with the cold blue-green forest, emphasising Jason’s decaying appearance and unmistakable hockey mask.

Directed by John Carl Buechler and released in 1988, “The New Blood” pits Jason against Tina Shepard, played by Lar Park Lincoln, whose telekinetic abilities give her an unusual means of fighting back. The film also marked Kane Hodder’s first appearance as Jason, beginning an association with the character that continued through four films.

Signed prominently by Kane Hodder, this example includes the character name “Jason” and the annotation “7, 8, 9, X”, referencing his four appearances in the role. Presented flat and unfolded in excellent condition, it combines striking artwork with a direct connection to one of the franchise’s most celebrated performers—an impressive display piece for collectors of “Friday the 13th”, Jason Voorhees and signed horror memorabilia.

Trivia: The first of 4 films in a row in which Kane Hodder plays Jason Voorhees. He would reprise the role in Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989), Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (1993) and Jason X (2002)
