  • Alien Alternative Movie Poster

    Alien

    £195.00

“In space no one can hear you scream !”

One of cinemas all time classic movies is Ridley Scott’s Oscar winning deep space horror “Alien”. The worldwide marketing campaign is instantly recognisable by the (now) iconic alien ‘egg’ imagery designed by the creative agency Bemis Balkind, and it is also one of the most licensed titles to commission for the alternative movie poster market with some incredible re-imagined imagery on offer, with this offering from Chris Koehler one of the best in my opinion – it just evokes the whole feel of the movie and features a key scene from the Film’s climax. Set in the shadows, the Alien is perfectly camouflaged by the workmanlike design of the ship’s interior, with colours that perfectly suit the subject matter. Issued as part of Hero Complex Gallery’s Ridley Scott show in 2021 the full art style (no title or credits) has been hand-numbered #12 from a print run of only 30. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents and displays to excellent effect. Hugely collectable and a fantastic piece of cinematic movie memorabilia from a truly influential movie that changed the face of modern sci-fi horror forever.

Trivia: Director Sir Ridley Scott and writers Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett wanted H.R. Giger to design the alien creatures based on drawings from his book ‘Necronomicon’, but they had some difficulties in convincing the studio. Executives were initially appalled by Giger’s dark and disturbing imagery, but Scott’s insistence finally won them over. Even so, Giger’s designs had to be changed several times because of their blatant sexuality.

  • ALIENS Video Movie Poster

    ALIENS

    £195.00

“There are some places in the universe you don’t go alone!”

A poster design that works just perfectly with a bold and simple design; it just draws you in and keeps the anticipation high for although “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner at the time people knew it only as a sequel to the horror classic “Alien”. Signed (with character name) by the android ‘Bishop’ – Lance Henriksen at Horrorfied April 2025. Lovely clear signature in silver, which really pops against the the black background. The original British video film poster offered here is from first year of release on video, 1986 and is the same imagery as used for the cinema release earlier in 1986. It presents very well, with handling wear from signing and offered in original unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition. A very rare iconic British poster that represents a fine piece of movie memorabilia from a truly influential movie that changed the face of the modern sci-fi action movie forever and benefits from being autographed by one of the major cast members.

Trivia: Sigourney Weaver‘s Best Actress Academy Award nomination for this movie was the first ever for an actress in a role in an action and sci-fi movie.

  • ALIENS Alternative Movie Poster

    ALIENS

    £325.00

    “This Time It’s War”

An alternative movie poster for James Cameron’s “Aliens”, that is unquestionably one of the best (if not the best) for the title. Adam Stothard’s limited edition (hand-numbered #65/85) art print could be accused of giving away much of the film’s climax but Ripley’s ‘get away from her you bitch’  is cinematic legend. This fine art giclee print is printed on Hahnemühle photo rag metallic paper and screen printed using a gloss enamel varnish Layer (over the Queen Mother & title) is absolutely stunning, focussing on the ferocious battle between Ripley (using the Power Loader) against the Xenomorph Queen. “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner. The alternative movie poster offered here is from 2023 and presents to excellent effect in original unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition that represents a fine piece of movie memorabilia and artwork from a truly influential movie that changed the face of the modern sci-fi action movie forever.

Trivia: Sigourney Weaver‘s Best Actress Academy Award nomination for this movie was the first ever for an actress in a role in an action and sci-fi movie.

    What is Giclee ?

Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.

The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.

Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely beautiful and a desirable item of modern collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting film franchise.. “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner. • Blade Runner Movie Poster

    Blade Runner

    £125.00

“Man Has Made His Match… Now It’s His Problem !”

Adapted from Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’, Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner” iconic dystopian classic is unquestionably one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made. Re-issued and released several times in various formats & ‘cuts’ these four over-sized full-colour lobby cards are from the original first release in 1982 as part of an extensive marketing campaign to promote the movie. Although critically acclaimed on initial release, commercially the film never really proved popular with the cinema going public resulting in any paper from the 1982 release extremely scarce, making these lobby cards very desirable. Three of the four cards feature Harrison Ford as the Blade Runner Deckard including a fantastic portrait image with the fourth card a shot of the futuristic 2019 Los Angeles. These special cards have no writing on the front at all, but on the reverse they have a Blade Runner logo of the title, with copyright information in the bottom of the back centre of each still. Each still is unrestored and offered excellent original unfolded/flat (as issued) condition. They display and present to beautiful effect and represent an impressive item of cinematic movie memorabilia for one of the most influential film’s not just of the sci-fi genre but modern culture in general.

Trivia: The final scene was shot literally hours before the producers were due to take creative control away from Ridley Scott.

    Blade Runner 2049

    £150.00

Many older model replicants – Nexus 8s with open-ended lifespans – survived. They are hunted down and ‘retired’…Those that hunt them still go by the name… Blade Runner.”

Adapted from Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’, Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner” iconic dystopian classic is unquestionably one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made. So, it was no surprise a sequel was made, what was surprising was the follow-up never happened until 2017, thirty-five years after the original was released. Still, it’s fair to say the wait was worth it – “Blade Runner 2049” sees Harrison Ford reprise his role as Rick Deckard and a new Blade Runner is introduced, ‘K’ played by Ryan Gosling. It’s a visually beautiful movie with some imaginative action scenes perfectly orchestrated by director, Denis Villeneuve. The visual impact is certainly evident in the poster campaign that accompanied the release. Advertising agency WORKS ADV have produced an impressive series of posters including this amazing Advance ‘10.6.17’ US one-sheet. Produced in two versions – one with a red title and the other a blue title. For me the ‘Tiffany’ blue style (as offered here) is much more effective. This rolled (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with minimal handling wear and represents an impressive piece of cinematic movie memorabilia for one of the most influential film series not just of the sci-fi genre but modern culture in general.

Trivia: The first letter of the names of each of the wooden animals that Rick Deckard carved in this movie: Rhino, Antelope, Cat, Horse, Elephant, Lion, spell “RACHEL”.
