Amazing artwork and poster design by The Cimarron Group for the 2004 feel good Christmas movie “The Polar Express”. It is a huge seasonal favourite with a truly worldwide fanbase, and one of the first major productions to feature computer animation and is listed in the 2006 Guinness Book of World Records as the “first all-digital capture” film, where all acted parts were done in digital capture. The steam locomotive featured so prominently on the poster and in the movie is based on the Pere Marquette 1225, a restored steam locomotive located in Owosso, Missouri and during the holiday season it regularly runs between Owosso and nearby Ashley. Offered here is an original country of origin US One-Sheet from 2004, it is arguably the best and most desirable of the posters produced for the marketing campaign. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents superbly. Totally original and unrestored it represents a fantastic piece of highly collectable cinematic movie memorabilia…“This Holiday Season… Believe.”
Trivia: The first animated film not produced by Disney or Pixar to receive an “A+” from CinemaScore.
