Nautilus Art Prints released this Laurent Durieux variant as a limited run of 200 in 2017. In this poster, Durieux creates a bright and colourful retro summer aesthetic as he illustrates the memorable scuba-suit pool scene from Mark Nichols’ 1967 comedy-drama-romance “The Graduate”. This scene was very symbolic in displaying Ben’s (Dustin Hoffman) lack of control over his future whilst he was still trapped under hs parents control. The 12-colour screen print is signed by Durieux and hand-numbered #36/200. Having a very limited release these alternative movie posters are incredibly rare. Unrestored, this rolled (as issued) poster presents and displays to exceptional effect and represents a superb example of genuinely scarce modern film memorabilia featuring one of Hollywood’s greatest romantic comedy’s…classic and very COOL!
Trivia: In the famous promotional still and original poster for this film, Dustin Hoffman is seen in the background framed by Mrs. Robinson’s shapely leg. The leg in that photo didn’t belong to Anne Bancroft, however; it belonged to a then-unknown model, Linda Gray, who later played Mrs. Robinson in a London stage musical of The Graduate & Sue Ellen Ewing in the TV show Dallas.

Hall H, Comicon 2012 and Marvel Studios is again breaking box-office records, this time with the super hero blockbuster “The Avengers”. Riding the wave of success sequels to the hugely successful Captain America & Thor movies are announced as the assembled audience goes wild with anticipation…then an audible gasp, as the third film for 2014 is revealed, what ? “Guardians of the Galaxy” ? … A bizarre assembly of misfits and losers which includes a gun-wielding genetically altered raccoon and a fighting tree creature whose could only speak a single phrase…“I am Groot”. Marvel was taking a chance, but needn’t have worried…Guardians was critical and commercial juggernaut which redefined the super hero genre and direction Marvel was to take. Because of the ‘risk’ factor the advertising budget was not as extravagant as the studios previous offerings, making paper from the film genuinely a lot a scarcer than Iron Man, Thor, Avengers etc. Hence the rarity for any of the film posters produced to accompany the release. Based on photographs by Michael Mueller, design agency BLT Communications certainly pushed the right buttons and created a stunning all-action, epic poster for this 2014 one-sheet. An amazing spectrum of purple and blue colours and frantic energy, it is a great looking image. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear, absolutely stunning. Guaranteed original this represents a scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting and cool film.
Trivia: According to James Gunn, the film’s soundtrack is composed mainly of 1970s and 1980s songs, as they are part of Quill’s memories of Earth: “The music is one of those touchstones we have to remind us that Quill is a real person from planet Earth who’s just like you and me, except that he’s in this big outer space adventure.”

Marvel was taking a chance, but needn’t have worried…Guardians was critical and commercial juggernaut which redefined the super hero genre and direction Marvel was to take. Being one of the most popular subjects for alternative movie posters, artist Ise Ananphada has created an incredible looking poster. Her hand-numbered #248/275 giclee screen print is a stunning piece that has captured the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and being a giclee print the colours have an amazing, vibrant finish. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely beautiful and a desirable item of modern collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting and cool film franchise.
Trivia: The sensor that Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) looks at when detecting the extra-dimensional creature during the opening of the movie is a modified 1977 Mattel handheld “Electronic Football” video game. Selling over one million units, this was one of the hottest items of Christmas 1977. Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

John Carpenter’s masterpiece of modern horror “Halloween” was the first and by far the best of this enduring film franchise which acted as the definitive slasher flick. The artwork for any of the film poster produced are all extremely collectable and strikingly individual in design; from the ‘Jack O’Lantern’ US one sheet to the UK quad film poster featuring a screaming Jamie Lee Curtis as Michael Myers’ hand appears at the car window; all seen through an icy blue haze. Offered here is one of the best of the more modern alternative movie poster designs by the artist Paul Mann. Mann’s stunning imagery and use of bold colour tones makes for a truly eye-catching piece as a menacing Michael Myers takes centre stage against a backdrop of a flaming halloween pumpkin. Released in 2024 as a limited edition of only 70 (this is hand-numbered #12). “Witchcraft enters the computer age, and a different terror begins.”
John Carpenter’s masterpiece of modern horror “Halloween” spawned a multitude of sequels which included this 1982 offering “Halloween III: Season of the Witch”. A sequel in name only as it didn’t feature Michael Myers but took a new take on the mythos as ancient witchcraft meets modern technology in the form of Silver Shamrock masks. Who better then to take on the artistic duties than the modern maestro of horror artwork – Graham Humphreys. The content and characterisations are super realistic, layout and colours perfectly balanced and a near perfect example of a re-imagined poster. Released in 2024 as an exclusive Private Commission, this strictly limited Artist Proof edition is hand-numbered AP 11/15 and signed by the artist. Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” features the Avenger Hawkeye and ‘New Avenger’ Kate Bishop in a Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Jeremy Renner returns as the title character, joined by Hailee Steinfeld who plays the apprentice archer Kate Bishop (both are featured on the poster) and a strong supporting cast with perhaps Florence Pugh – the new Black Widow? returning as Yelena Belova as does one of Marvels’s most iconic villains with Vincent D’Onofrio donning his trademark white suit as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. The clever design by BLT Communications was the first poster released promote the TV series. Presented here in original unrestored condition this beautiful 2021 rolled (as issued) example displays to excellent effect with the minimal of handling wear. Only ever released as a one-sheet poster in the United States and printed exclusively for the US market to promote the first Season of “Hawkeye” this is a truly scarce poster and highly sought after that represents a fine addition for any collector of original Marvel Studio posters or comic book fan memorabilia.
