    Mulholland Drive

“A woman in search of stardom. A woman in search of herself – in the city of dreams. A key to a mystery – lies somewhere on Mulholland Drive.”

Designed by the advertising agency Le Cercle Noir, this original 2001 UK quad poster for David Lynch’s mystery thriller “Mulholland Drive” (unlike the US campaign, that features a separate actress on each poster) features both Naomi Watts (Betty) and Laura Harring (Rita) with the ‘Hollywood’ landmark a fitting backdrop. With its simple, distinctive, imagery this rolled (as issued) example presents to superb effect, providing a high quality and very rare film poster from one of Cinema’s most revered cult directors.

Trivia: David Lynch originally wrote the basic idea for the story in the 1990s, as a spin-off of Twin Peaks (1990). The character arc of Betty in the movie was written for Twin Peaks (1990) supporting character Audrey Horne, who would have been the central figure of the proposed spin-off.
