  Long before Tim Burton re-invented him and Chris Chris Nolan re-imagined him there was “Batman” 1960’s style, as the decade’s most popular TV show was bat-ransported to the big screen. Such a gloriously camp, cheesy movie deserves a special poster and this original Limited Edition Martin Ansin lithograph doesn’t disappoint. Produced by Mondo Galleries for the “75 Years of Batman” anniversary these specially commissioned posters sold out immediately on release to the public.  Featuring Batman, Robin and a gallery of all their nefarious villains it certainly is a WOW factor poster; unrestored with deep rich colours and beautiful graphics, this originally rolled example is numbered #4 from a print run of only 375 and a very cool looking poster…I am a huge Batman fan (all incarnations) and this is one of my favourite Batman posters…A rare chance to purchase one of the scarcest Batman posters ever produced and a magnificent item of collectable movie memorabilia from an icon of modern pop culture.

  Trivia: Adam West has often referred to Batman as one of the three big “B”s to have made an impact during the 1960s, the other two being The Beatles and Bond, James Bond.

  Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

  “The Empire Falls…”

  The best trilogies have an epic finale, and Martin Ansin shows off his brilliant illustrator skills with the final print in his Star Wars Original Trilogy set. Ansin brings exceptional detail and dynamic colour to this alternative movie poster for “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi”. Created in 2026, the composition places Luke Skywalker at its centre, framed by Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine above, with Princess Leia, Han Solo and Lando Calrissian arranged among scenes from the climactic final chapter of the original trilogy.

  Ansin’s intricate design incorporates the forest moon of Endor, speeder bikes, Scout Troopers, Ewoks and the second Death Star battle, rewarding close inspection with an extraordinary range of characters, vehicles and narrative details. The rich blue, red and gold palette is enhanced by the reflective foil stock paper, which catches the light and adds depth and brilliance to the screen-printed artwork.

  This foil variant is hand-numbered #314 from a limited edition of 425. Presented rolled (as issued) unfolded and in superb condition, it has tremendous visual impact and makes an exceptional display piece for collectors of “Star Wars”, Martin Ansin and contemporary alternative movie-poster art.

  Trivia: A reason for filming under the guise of non-descript horror movie title, “Blue Harvest” was partly to put off any snoopers, and also because the production found out that if they mentioned they were working on the next Star Wars movie, suppliers would automatically ramp up their prices, assuming that money was no object for Lucasfilm.
