“Borat was so 2006″…Cheeky design by Crew Creative. This is an original Advance (July 10) UK Quad movie poster from 2009 for Sacha Baron Cohen’s gay fashionista comedy “Bruno”. This rolled example is in exceptional condition and displays superbly. A real eye catching, talking piece poster for a movie that quickly became a cult classic. In very short supply due to its “18” (“R” in USA) rating and limited cinema distribution.
…more detailA classic and scarce original 2019 BFI 50th Anniversary 4K release British UK quad film poster for John Schlesinger’s multi Award winning “Midnight Cowboy”, still the only X-Rated movie to win an Oscar. It was nominated for seven and won three including Best Director for John Schlesinger which was an (then) unheard of return for an ‘X’ film. Beautiful distinctive character imagery; a great black & white character shot of ‘Ratso’ (Dustin Hoffman and ‘Joe’ (Jon Voight). Originally rolled (as issued) this example displays and presents to excellent effect with pure bright white background and crisp colour imagery. Showing in only a handful of independent and art-house cinemas the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly hard to find with this fine example representing an impressive item of collectable original cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Dustin Hoffman kept pebbles in his shoe to ensure his limp would be consistent from shot to shot.

“A Generation Began In His Backyard.”…Designed by Mojo this award winning poster looks incredible. Eye-catching design and bright primary colours make for an outstanding piece of movie poster artwork. Due to the Film’s very low distribution these first Advance teaser “Take the trip this summer” posters are extremely scarce. This rolled original US One sheet appears unused and in exceptional condition. Don’t be confused it has been made to look old; fake lines, creases & crinkles. It displays beautifully and is investment grade quality !…Very, very cool !

…more detailWith its iconic Ralph Steadman artwork an original 1987 UK quad film poster for Bruce Robinson’s massive cult hit “Withnail and I” is one of the scarcest and most sought after British film posters of the 80’s with prices (if you can find one) into four figures. Thank fully for the 10th Anniversary re-release in 1997 Handmade Films produced a ‘new’ poster for this remastered cult classic, which although rare (again due to limited cinematic releases) are available. Steadman’s design is retained for the title with gilt framed colour photograph of the titular “Withnail and I” (Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann) off setting a yellow linoleum floor full of fag ends, beans and rubbish…Very in-keeping with the overall atmosphere of squalor that pervades the film. Offered here is an exceptional unrestored country of origin British UK quad movie poster from 1997 re-release for one of the most celebrated British film’s of recent times. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents and displays superbly and represents a much more affordable alternative for a truly classic cult British movie which respected critic and entertainer Jonathan Ross described as…“One of the funniest British films ever made”.
…more detailWith its iconic Ralph Steadman artwork an incredible find, an original 1987 UK quad film poster for Bruce Robinson’s classic cult hit “Withnail and I”. Although now regarded as a truly iconic film on its initial release the reception was (too say the least) lukewarm based upon a very low key marketing campaign. One of the scarcest and most desirable British film posters of the 80’s. Steadman’s unique and immediately recognisable design for the title is bordered with an ornate gilded frame off set against a white tiled toilet wall covered with graffiti …Very much complementing the overall atmosphere of squalor that pervades the film. Offered here is an exceptional unrestored country of origin British UK quad movie poster from 1987 for one of the most celebrated British film’s of recent times. Originally ROLLED (as issued) this presents and displays without a fault; truly exceptional, investment grade condition original film movie memorabilia for…“One of the funniest British films ever made”…Jonathan Ross.
Trivia: Much of this film’s promotional art is designed by illustrator Ralph Steadman, in the famous gonzo style he used and created for the works of Hunter S. Thompson notably Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). He is listed as Miscellaneous Crew.
