    Downhill Racer

    £300.00

“How fast must a man go to get from where he’s at ?”

Beautifully executed and designed poster attributed to Stephen Frankfurt and Philip Gips. One of the best sports movie posters ever created, with the complementing Style A one of the others. Here Robert Redford as Winter Olympic skier David Chappellet is depicted in full on skier pose with an almost psychedelic effect to add to the feeling of motion. Hugely effective you really can feel the speed and excitement. The original US one sheet offered here is  is the rare Style B from first year of release 1969 and is presented in excellent tri-folded (as issued with no vertical centrefold) condition. Particularly sought after by skiing enthusiasts this represents a fine piece of sports / movie memorabilia that is becoming increasingly hard to find from a superior sports movie and one of the best skiing films ever made.

  • Superman-III-Movie-Poster

    Superman III

    £50.00

“Synthetic kryptonite laced with tobacco tar splits Superman in two: good Clark Kent and bad Man of Steel.”

The third entry in the Salkind’s ‘Superman’ canon sees Richard Lester’s more comedic action touch as Christopher Reeve again dons the red cape in the 1983 release “Superman III”. Humour is largely provided by an excellent over the top performance (in reality just playing himself) by comic genius Richard Pryor as computer genius Gus Gorman. And it is Reeve and Pryor who feature prominently on this British UK quad film poster. The colourful all-action design sees Superman in full flight smashing his way to defeat the ‘villain’ Gus’ ‘super-computer’ Gorman From first year of release (1983) this rare folded (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Beautiful artwork and vivid unfaded colours this is an exceptional unrestored  example of very collectable original movie memorabilia.

Trivia: According to Ilya Salkind, an earlier version of the script included the comic book villains Brainiac and Mr. Mxyzptlk teaming up, and Superman meeting his cousin, Supergirl, which would lead to the potential Supergirl spin-off.

  • Unforgiven-Movie-Poster

    Unforgiven

    £175.00

“I’ve killed women and children. I’ve killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I’m here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned.”

Beautiful Bill Gold design and artwork for Clint Eastwood’s 1992 Oscar winning western “Unforgiven”. With no-dates or credits this original British Uk quad is the first Advance teaser for Clint’s masterpiece. It is also the rarest style of “Unforgiven” posters. Dark and moody this originally rolled (as issued) example is in exceptional unrestored original condition with imagery particularly well suited to the horizontal landscape layout of the British quad. It displays superbly and looks stunning, presented in high-grade quality condition that represents a truly fine impressive example of original Clint Eastwood western cinematic movie memorabilia.

Trivia: The final screen credit reads, “Dedicated to Sergio and Don”, referring to Clint Eastwood‘s mentors, Sergio Leone and Don Siegel.

“I’ve killed women and children. I’ve killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I’m here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned.”

“Eastwood’s Western Swansong”“Unforgiven” may well be Clint Eastwood’s greatest triumph as an actor and director. In this grim, dark, and yet strangely beautiful story of former gunslinger William Munny (Eastwood), who comes out of retirement for one last job, Eastwood deliberately sets out to demystify the old West. This is evident in the conversations between Munny and the Schofield Kid (Jaimze Wolvett), who has a romanticized image of the old-time gunfighters, and between sheriff Little Bill Daggett (Gene Hackman) and hack journalist W.W. Beauchamp (Saul Rubinek). Bill Gold design and artwork for Clint Eastwood’s 1992 Oscar winning western “Unforgiven”. This ‘pay-off’ final release version features the familiar image of Eastwood with back to shot and beautiful portraits of his supporting cast – Richard Harris, Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman. The landscape format of the UK quad perfectly suits the imagery and layout for Clint’s masterpiece, far better than the one-sheet, in my opinion. Dark and moody this originally rolled (as issued) example is in excellent unrestored original condition.
