    “Borat was so 2006″…Cheeky design by Crew Creative. This is an original Advance (July 10) UK Quad movie poster from 2009 for Sacha Baron Cohen’s gay fashionista comedy “Bruno”. This rolled example is in exceptional condition and displays superbly. A real eye catching, talking piece poster for a movie that quickly became a cult classic. In very short supply due to its “18” (“R” in USA) rating and limited cinema distribution.

This originally rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and represents a fantastic and hugely collectable item of music and movie memorabilia for a performer and musician who was truly unique.

    A rare Country of Origin UK Quad movie poster from the original year of release 1979 for THE DEFINITIVE ROCK DOCUMENTARY – “The Kids Are Alright”Starring The Who in all their glory, Jeff Stein’s rock documentary is a rock and roll rollercoaster ride, showing just why every kid who could wield an air guitar wanted to be in The Who. The photograph was shot by Art Kane and the Carl Shurz Monument in Morningside Heights in New York City. Originally folded (as issued) this original unrestored example presents to excellent effect with amazing colours and superb ‘Cool Britannia’ graphics…A fantastic piece of very desirable and collectable music/ movie / cultural  memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential rock bands that Great Britain has ever produced.

    Trivia: The film’s title “The Kids Are Alright” is taken from the title of one of The Who’s songs. While the song appears in the film during the closing credits, it does not appear on the soundtrack album for the film.

    Of the four poster designs created for the 1975 release of Ken Russell’s “Tommy” in Japan this style B is by far the rarest and visually the best. Featuring country unique Japanese artwork the “Christ like” imagery of Tommy (Roger Daltrey) his head adorned with a crown of poppies and bleeding torso pinned by poppies is a memorable sight. Complemented by border artwork of the all-star cast (The Who, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, Jack Nicholson, Oliver Reed to name just a few.) stands out as a great looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this rare example presents very well and as it features some of the greatest names ever in both rock music and the cinema represents a fantastic piece of highly desirable, collectable entertainment memorabilia.

    Released on Netflix in July 2023 “WHAM!” is one the channel’s most streamed programmes, documenting (largely through the scrap book diaries kept by Andrew Ridgeley’s Mum) the effervescent rise of the happy go lucky pop duo and the emergence of George into a global solo singer/song-writer superstar. Prior to the film’s Netflix release it was screened for one-night only on June 27th in only a small number of select cinemas throughout the UK. The poster (a UK quad) used to accompany and promote this release features the imagery of photographer Chris Craymer. His photograph perfectly captures the charm, bubbliness, friendship and true happiness of the duo as they were starting out on their musical journey. Incredibly rare, due to the very limited number of cinemas showing the movie, this originally rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and represents a fantastic and hugely collectable item of music and movie memorabilia.
