    True Romance

    £325.00

“Stealing, Cheating, Killing. Who said romance is dead ?”

Featuring stunning rich, neon hued colours, the two lead characters – Clarence (Christian Slater) and Alabama (Patricia Arquette) are seated front and centre in a beautiful Cadillac Eldorado as Elvis looks on from the back seat. This Sunset Getaway limited edition alternative movie poster from 2026 for Tony Scott’s 1993 all-star crime actioner “True Romance”…Written by Quentin Tarantino to raise the funds for Reservoir Dogs this hugely under-rated ‘heist/car chase’ film retains a truly loyal cult following.  Mad Duck Posters are one of a handful of design/art studios  currently creating limited edition prints for classic and contemporary films, representing the most creative and visually striking art the medium has to offer. Offered here is Laurent Durieux’s breath taking interpretation which is limited to only 137 Prints – this example is hand-numbered #85. This is the super exclusive Sunset Getaway Variant style that was only available to a small number of Golden Ticket holders as a loyalty reward and was not offered for general sale. Long sold out (like the vast majority of the best alternative movie posters) this originally rolled, flat-unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect that represents a truly outstanding and extremely desirable item of collectable movie memorabilia with a ‘modern’ twist.

Trivia: Although this movie was not directed by Quentin Tarantino, it is still considered part of the Tarantino universe. The two key pieces of evidence, is Lee Donowitz being the grandson of Sergeant Donnie Donowitz from Inglourious Basterds (2009), this being confirmed by Tarantino. The second piece of evidence, is the fact that Mr. White from Reservoir Dogs(1992) mentioned working with a girl named “Alabama”.

    Withnail and I

    £1,795.00

“I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze ! We want the finest wines available to humanity. And we want them here, and we want them now !”

With its iconic Ralph Steadman artwork an incredible find, an original 1987 UK quad film poster for Bruce Robinson’s classic cult hit “Withnail and I”. Although now regarded as a truly iconic film on its initial release the reception was (too say the least) lukewarm based upon a very low key marketing campaign. One of the scarcest and most desirable British film posters of the 80’s. Steadman’s unique and immediately recognisable design for the title is bordered with an ornate gilded frame off set against a white tiled toilet wall covered with graffiti …Very much complementing the overall atmosphere of squalor that pervades the film. Offered here is an exceptional unrestored country of origin British UK quad movie poster from 1987  for one of the most celebrated British film’s of recent times. Originally ROLLED (as issued) this presents and displays without a fault; truly exceptional, investment grade condition original film movie memorabilia for…“One of the funniest British films ever made”…Jonathan Ross.

Trivia: Much of this film’s promotional art is designed by illustrator Ralph Steadman, in the famous gonzo style he used and created for the works of Hunter S. Thompson notably Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). He is listed as Miscellaneous Crew.
