Without doubt “A Clockwork Orange” was the most controversial film of its day, and that’s saying something when you consider it was released alongside “The Exorcist” and “Last Tango in Paris”. Malcolm McDowell’s signature role, and it’s his character Alex DeLarge who features on all eight cards in this complete set of US lobby cards from first year of release, 1972 as he is highlighted in key scenes and in stunning close-up. A rare find as a complete set, with most broken up and the cards sold individually. Totally original and unrestored, the cards are presented in high grade, flat, unfolded (as issued) condition that display and present to excellent effect. A genuinely scarce and hard to find example of cinema memorabilia. The film still remains Kubrick’s most controversial work; quite a feat when one considers the range of topics the filmmaker explored across his remarkable career and represent a superb addition to any collection.
Trivia: The film was unavailable for public viewing in the UK from 1973 until 2000, the year after Stanley Kubrick‘s death. British video stores were so inundated with requests for the movie that some took to putting up signs that read: ‘No, we do not have A Clockwork Orange (1971).’

A complete set of all eight (8) US lobby cards presented in totally original unrestored condition. An absolutely fantastic collection of images from 1983, in what was to become a memorable screen role for David Bowie as Jack Celliers in Nagisa Ôshima’s “Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence”. The imagery chosen for the eight cards perfectly capture the whole feel of the movie with Bowie featured on six leaving Tom Conti, as the titular Mr. Lawrence and a prisoner of war riot to complete the set. Incredibly hard to source as a complete and in this high grade condition, as most sets were split as music fans focussed on the six cards highlighting Bowie. These, unfolded, flat (as issued) examples present and display to excellent effect and represent a really exciting music/movie collectable from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: David Bowie was cast in the role of Major Jack Celliers after director Nagisa Ôshima saw a performance of his on the stage in a Broadway production of ‘The Elephant Man’.

Regarded (& rightly so) as one of Alfred Hitchcock’s finest movies – a true cinematic masterpiece. Offered here is a complete set of twelve (12) British from of house lobby cards for his 1959 thriller “North By Northwest”. Each full colour card features memorable imagery from the film, none more so than our highlighted card from the Film’s breathtaking climax as Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint defend themselves atop Mount Rushmore. All twelve cards contribute to make an exceptional and rarely available complete set. Presented in very good unrestored original condition this represents a fine piece of Alfred Hitchcock cinema memorabilia.
Trivia: This movie has often been referred to as “the first James Bond film” due to its similarities with splashily colourful settings, secret agents, and an elegant, daring, wisecracking leading man opposite a sinister yet strangely charming villain with the crop duster scene inspiring the helicopter chase in From Russia with Love (1963).
A 1977 original year of release “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” complete set of eight (8) British front of house lobby cards. An incredible selection of instantly recognisable images – the major characters and key scenes are all featured – Luke (Mark Hamill) is seen on four, Han (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Obi Wan (Sir Alec Guinness), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and of course Darth Vader (Dave Prowse) sharing two appearances each. The characters have become synonymous with the franchise, with each card extremely sought after with many collectors & fans. The desirability of a single card has meant that these sets are usually split up with very few complete sets rarely coming to market. Flat and unfolded (as issued) this beautiful set of lobby cards presents to excellent effect and represents a scarce and desirable piece of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: George Lucas‘ decision to accept a lower salary on the movie in exchange for full merchandising rights was considered a fool’s gamble on his part. Although some movie-toy combinations had done moderate retail returns at the time, they had never been major money-earners because of the long gap between when a movie would go through its theatrical run and when any products based on it would be available. This movie, however, was such a phenomenon that it reached the holiday 1977 sales period in full swing, and changed the way how movies were merchandised forever.
