Although a relatively recent release any paper for Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling” is extremely scarce. Her much talked retro drama thriller is complemented by an amazing series of cinematic posters designed by the creative marketing agency Bulldog, with this ‘Welcome to Victory’ advance style my personal favourite; very stylish, clever imagery. Although accompanied by an extensive marketing campaign (largely due to the stars involved) the movie is considered “art-house” or “independent” and had a very limited cinema release resulting in the scarcity of the posters. Originally rolled (as issued) this UK quad looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear; the colours really have depth and tone. A rare, modern collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks to be gaining that cult status.
Trivia: There are many clear references to Alice in Wonderland; the main character’s name being Alice, the fantasy world which she unwittingly enters into, the prominence of windows/mirrors (Through the Looking Glass), and lastly her neighbour Bunny may be a subtle reference to the iconic White Rabbit.
