“Out of the darkness…comes the Knight.”
There were some outstanding posters produced for Christopher Nolan’s 2008 “Batman Begins” sequel “The Dark Knight” but this advance “Coming Soon” teaser takes the plaudits…a truly stunning looking film poster designed by Crew Creative Advertising. This International one sheet was printed in USA for use in United Kingdom and Europe and depicts the Batman silhouetted against a striking city scape and is the rarest of any paper for the movie. The photograph really doesn’t do this poster justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to magnificent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of modern original movie memorabilia from a truly outstanding film franchise and an icon of modern pop culture…“The night is darkest before the dawn.”
Trivia: In Sir Michael Caine‘s opinion, Heath Ledger beat the odds and topped Jack Nicholson‘s Joker from Batman (1989): “Jack was like a clown figure, benign but wicked, maybe a killer old uncle. He could be funny and make you laugh. Heath’s gone in a completely different direction to Jack, he’s like a really scary psychopath. He’s a lovely guy and his Joker is going to be a hell of a revelation in this picture.” Caine bases this belief on a scene where The Joker pays a visit to Bruce Wayne’s penthouse. He’d never met Ledger before, so when Ledger arrived and performed, he gave Caine such a fright, he forgot his lines.

“Audrey Hepburn plays that daring, darling Holly Golightly to a new high in entertainment delight!”
This original Japanese B2 for Audrey Hepburn’s most iconic and beloved role as Holly Golightly in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is truly wonderful featuring the classic Audrey Hepburn image wearing that iconic Givenchy little black dress with trade mark cigarette holder. Produced in very small numbers, the poster accompanied a limited release for the movie in the early 2000s in select Japanese cinemas and is rarely seen offered for sale. Offered in excellent condition this originally rolled (as issued) example is truly superb and represents a fantastic opportunity to obtain a more affordable original “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” movie poster.
Trivia: The famous black dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in the opening scenes of this movie was sold for $807,000 on December 4, 2006 at Christie’s Auction House in London, making it one of the most expensive piece of movie memorabilia ever sold.

In 2003 John Dower’s Brit Pop documentary “Live Forever” was released….Featuring the talents of Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Jarvis Cocker, Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Damon Albarn, Toby Young and Damien Hirst. An excellent documentary capturing the phenomenon of the Britpop passage. It is worth noting that I think that even if you didn’t get the whole Britpop experience it is still worth watching to try and understand exactly what the period of time tried to encapsulate. Dragging Britain from a period of being totally dormant, to generating great music and creating an aura of genuine invincibility. A highlight of the film has to be the Damien Hirst designed UK quad movie poster. A real eye catching, talking piece poster for a movie that quickly became a cult classic. Genuinely scarce and in very short supply due to a limited cinema release. Never commercially available it is believed that there are a small number currently in circulation making genuine examples such as the one of offer here even more desirable.
Limited Edition Damien Hirst prints regularly sell for £1,000+ so this original ”Live Forever” UK quad movie poster represents exceptional value and it looks really cool !

A truly influential horror classic…Tobe Hooper’s adaption of the Stephen King vampire novel “Salem’s Lot”. This original 1981 (first year of release in Japan) Japan B2 film poster features great great horror imagery and often referred to as the “montage style” featuring the evil vampire Kurt Barlow over shadowing the vampire hunters including David Soul. “Salem’s Lot” originally aired in the USA as a 2-night mini-series with the first episode airing on November 17, 1979 and the second episode airing the following week on November 24, 1979. It was the first television mini-series (and the second film) to be based on the writings of author Stephen King and was a huge ratings success with word of mouth (the social media of the 80’s) creating the popular need for cinematic releases worldwide. Unique Japanese design and with no US or British big screen theatre release this is an extremely desirable and very rare film poster. In excellent unrestored condition this tri-folded (as issued) example presents & displays to superb effect and represents an exciting and scarce country unique piece of original horror film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The biggest issue that divides fans of the novel and miniseries is the fact that Barlow is depicted as a hissing Nosferatu-like monster in the adaptation, as opposed to the speaking Dracula-like character of the novel. In an interview with Richard Kobritz he said the decision to go with the terrifying monster figure came out of concerns that a speaking, romanticized villain just wouldn’t be frightening enough, especially as John Badham‘s remake of Dracula (1979) starring Frank Langella was released in 1979. Stephen King was against the change at first, but after he saw the footage, he thought it may help the audience focus more on the main characters.

An outstanding modern example of a true British classic. An original 2013 Country of Origin British UK quad film poster for Robin Hardy’s cult horror masterpiece “The Wicker Man”. One of the most sought after titles of the horror genre. Completely new and re-imagined artwork was commissioned for the 40th Anniversary release of the movie featuring Dan Mumford’s striking design. The unmistakable silhouette of Christopher Lee (Lord Summerisle) is featured praying to his pagan god – the Wicker Man. Sib-titled ‘The Final Cut’ the sound and print quality have been remastered to satiate the demands of the modern movie goer . Totally original and unrestored this rolled (as issued) poster displays and presents to excellent effect that due to the very limited cinematic screenings represents a super rare & sought item of authentic country of origin British horror movie memorabilia…“Come…It is time to keep your appointment with the Wicker Man.”
Trivia: Many years after making this movie, Edward Woodward re-visited some of the locations and claimed that he found the makeshift cross (that Howie makes out of some pieces of wood) still intact where it was left in the original scene.
