Arguably Sylvester Stallone’s best film, he is unmistakably Rocky. Bold, simple design the emphasis (as it should be) is all on the main character; the design means you never forget who this film is about and that’s ROCKY. This original British UK quad movie poster for “ROCKY” is from first year of release 1977. “ROCKY” was given a brief USA release in December of 1976 to qualify for the Academy Awards, but it did not go into general release until 1977 with this British paper highlighting the three “Oscars” it won. Presented in excellent folded (as issued) condition it displays and presents to superb effect. A fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the screens biggest stars, playing one of his greatest and most recognisable signature characters.

Trivia: Sylvester Stallone was so poor prior to filming Rocky (1976), he had to sell his dog for fifty dollars. A week later, he sold the script for Rocky (1976) and bought him back. Rocky’s dog, Buktus, was this same dog.
