“He’s Back…The Warrior of the Road”…Is Mad Max the greatest action hero of all-time ? You could easily argue the case based upon this double bill presentation for “Mad Max / Mad Max 2”. Combining elements of Tom Beauvais original 1979 UK quad design for Mad Max and Max in full on “Wild-Boys” mode graphic designer Ray Youngs has produced a really outstanding piece for this double bill release. A post apocalypse World never looked so inviting displaying a look and style that has gone to influence almost every sci-fi apocalypse film since. Very rare original UK quad from 1983. Film Description

“When the gangs take over the highway…Pray that he’s out there…somewhere!”.

A vision of an apocalyptic future set in the wastelands of Australia. Total social decay is just around the corner in this spectacular cheap budget gang orientated road movie, where the cops do their best to lay down the law and the outlaw gangs try their hardest to defy the system. Leather clad Max Rockatansky husband, father and cop turns judge, juror and executioner after his best friend, wife and baby are killed. Here we see the final days of normality of a man who had everything to live for, and his slip into the abyss of madness. Mad Max is the antihero on the road to vengeance and oblivion

After so many years “Mad Max 2” still remains one of the most exhilarating action films to ever grace the screen. The car chases are as excitingly pulse-pounding as ever and no film has yet to surpass the final chase as the best in movie history. Yes, in terms of pure action, not many films have been able to equal “The Road Warrior’s” thrills. Hugely influential it proved the benchmark of a genre that grew in popularity. The premise of a loner helping a group of people in need has been used extensively since though none have yet to match the outright intensity of “Mad Max 2 – The Road Warrior”.

LOBBY CARD
11 x 14″ printed on heavy stock paper. Used as display in theatre lobbies. Originally made in sets of eight. Some sets have a title card, which contains credits and artwork, essentially a mini-poster. The remaining seven cards are coloured photographic credits and poster artwork showing different scenes from the movie.
