Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse
£75.00
“The film Francis is making is a metaphor for a journey into self. He has made that journey and is still making it. It’s scary to watch someone you love go into the center of himself and confront his fears, fear of failure, fear of death, fear of going insane. You have to fail a little, die a little, go insane a little, to come out the other side. The process is not over for Francis.”
The making of a movie has never been documented with more power to discern the true nature of what is happening behind the scenes than in this account of the torment and the passion of Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now. All of the drama and emotion was filmed and documented by Fax Bahr, George Hickenlooper & Coppola’s own wife, Eleanor then released in 1991 as the documentary “Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse”. The British UK quad that accompanied the release features country unique design: a striking black & white montage. As the film had a very limited cinematic release any paper for the title is particularly scarce making this UK quad a really desirable item. Unrestored and originally folded (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents a scarce piece original movie memorabilia from one of the finest Film’s ever made.
