    A lovely original Japanese B2 film poster for the Robert Zemeckis sci-fi time travel romp sequel as Marty McFly and the Doc go “Back To The Future Part III”. Beautiful Drew Struzan artwork for one of the most recognisable movie poster series’ of the 80’s. Offered here is an original 1989 Japanese B2 film poster for one of the most collectable classic modern movie poster series available. Updating his artwork from the original and Part II (where he added the Doc) this style sees the Doc’s love interest Clara Clayton (Mary Steenburgen) added to the 1885 versions of Marty (Michael J. Fox) and the Doc (Christopher Lloyd) This unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued) with minimal handling wear and beautiful deep colours that ‘pop’ from the paper. A rare and extremely desirable piece of original  film memorabilia from one of the most popular and much loved movies ever made. “Our future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one.

    Trivia: Marty uses a “Frisbie’s” pie plate to knock a gun out of Mad Dog’s hand. In 1871, the Frisbie Pie Company started in Connecticut. Their pie pans were thrown on the campus of Yale, and this eventually lead to the invention of Frisbees.

    One of the ultimate ‘feel-good’ films (well up until the last two minutes) George Roy Hill’s “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” is much loved and rightly regarded as a true classic of the cinema. This original, super rare special ‘Wanted’ promotion poster is from 1969 and were distributed to children (and a few adults) exclusively in Odeon cinemas, in the weeks prior to the Film’s release with instructions to be placed where they can be seen in the window at home. An actor, dressed as The Sundance Kid (fully dressed up with stetson, gun and spurs) would then tour the area and hand out prizes to anyone that he saw displaying the poster. Designed to resemble a western WANTED poster with photographs of both Newman & Redford this example is offered folded and comes with full details of the promotion and additional photos printed on the back. A very rare survivor of an inspired cinema promotion and a highly collectable piece of movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: According to William Goldman, his screenplay originally was titled “The Sundance Kid and Butch Cassidy.” Steve McQueen and Paul Newman read the script at approximately the same time and agreed to do it, with McQueen playing The Sundance Kid. When McQueen dropped out, the names reversed in the title, as Newman was a superstar.

    One of the most collected titles from the western genre, John Sturges’ star-studded blockbuster “The Magnificent Seven”. A must watch with an impressive number of film posters to match including the first year of release, 1960 Japanese B2 offered here A truly great design that emphasises the “7” with a series of all-action colour illustrations contained within its outline, off set against a beautiful light gold background. A simple yet very effective designed film poster with artwork that is unique to the Japanese release. The example offered here is presented in excellent unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays beautifully. This rarely tuns up in such high grade condition and represents a fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the big screen’s greatest & most loved films.

    Trivia: Steve McQueen desperately wanted to act in this film but couldn’t at first because the schedule of his TV series, Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), wouldn’t allow it. He crashed a car and while he was “out sick”, recovering from the accident he shot this film.

Iñárritu.
