    Beautiful film poster for the 2016 ‘Signature’ release of Brad Bird’s giant alien robot animated adventure “The Iron Giant”. Incredibly scarce the ‘Signature’ re-release was only shown in a strictly limited number of cinemas for a short time.     Trivia: The Iron Giant and Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy are both voiced by Vin Diesel and, in both times, the sound technician that worked on it was Doc Kane. Both characters end up sacrificing themselves, but are ultimately resurrected.

    On its release at the dawn of a new millenia a film that influenced everything from fashion, technology and how movies are made, introducing us to…Bullet-Time – as seen on this scarce 20th Anniversary release UK quad poster from 2019 for the Wachowski Brother’s ground breaking science fiction blockbuster “The Matrix”. An exclusive re-design for these limited anniversary screenings, the three main characters – Neo (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne). A cool looking film poster from a “game-changing” movie. A true modern classic that displays superbly and is presented in excellent rolled condition.

    Trivia: All scenes that take place within the Matrix have a green tint, as if watching them through a computer monitor. Scenes in the real world have a blue tint. Blue was also used at a minimum within the Matrix, since the directors thought blue was more of a real-world color (despite, ironically, blue being often the least-occurring color in nature). The fight scene between Morpheus and Neo, which is neither in the real world, nor in the Matrix, is tinted yellow.

This clever, teasingly designed advance teaser US film poster is from first year of release 2005 and is printed on a heavier than usual quality paper stock. Being originally rolled (as issued) it displays to excellent effect with striking red background colour and eye-catching ‘Bettie Page’ (Gretchen Mol) imagery. Beautifully presented this scarce example represents a fine piece of original and desirable film movie memorabilia…Certainly a talking piece.

    Trivia: Was originally going to be ‘Mary Harron”s follow up to I Shot Andy Warhol but for some unknown reason the financiers backed out at the last minute. Around that time Harron was given a copy of the novel ‘American Psycho’ and she decided to make it her next film until she could find financiers for her Bettie Page movie. It then took almost five years to get the money for The Notorious Bettie Page. Guinevere Turner also co-wrote both this film and American Psycho (2000) with Harron.

    One of the best looking modern’ film posters produced in a long time…Award winning British UK quad film poster for Guillermo Del Toro’s multi award winning (& nominated) dark sci-fi fantasy movie “The Shape of Water”. With beautiful painted artwork by design agency ‘Midnight Oil’ this design is perfectly suited to the landscape format of the British quad. A whole range of green and blue colour tones is used with the background incredibly detailed and made up the ‘Creature’s’  scales; this is very subtle and only evident on close inspection.     Trivia: The creature design is heavily inspired by the film Creature from the Black Lagoon(1954). Michael Shannon’s character says they picked it up in the Amazon river in South America, which is the setting of The Creature from the film.

    Graphic artist and designer Neil Kellerhouse has created a truly haunting poster for Jonathan Glazer’s 2013 sci-fi indie horror “Under The Skin”. An award winning poster this original British UK quad film poster from first year of release 2013 features a multi-layered shadowy head shot of the Film’s star Scarlett Johannson. The horizontal landscape layout of the British poster perfectly suits Kellerhouse’s impressive design. Already hailed as a modern iconic sci-fi image these posters are incredibly rare and collectible. Printed on heavier than normal paper and originally rolled (as issued) this displays very well with only light handling handling wear. Due to a very limited cinematic release of this ‘art-house’ independent movie these posters are extremely scarce and sought after.     Trivia: The men lured into the van by Scarlett Johansson‘s character were not actors. Jonathan Glazer had hidden cameras installed in the van and only informed the men afterwards that they were in a movie.
