“She Loved Men… To Death.”
A glorious looking film poster full of colour, designed by Fred Davis with beautiful finished artwork of the ‘love witch’ Samantha Robinson by the extremely talented illustrator Michael Koelsch. Anna Biller’s dark horror comedy was very well received, critically & commercially on its 2016 release and is regarded as a classy ‘modern’ homage to the cheesy ‘B’ movie horror films that prospered during the 1970’s. This country of origin US one-sheet movie poster is from first year of release 2016 and hugely sought after by the film’s hardcore and loyal fan base and horror fans alike. Having a a very limited release, primarily in a small number of ‘art-house’ & ‘specialist’ cinemas combined with a low key advertising campaign the movie poster that accompanied the release is truly scarce. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect & represents a really exceptional piece of original ‘cult’ film movie memorabilia.

One of the most collected titles from the western genre, John Sturges’ star-studded blockbuster “The Magnificent Seven”. A must watch with an impressive number of film posters to match including the first year of release, 1960 Japanese B2 offered here A truly great design that emphasises the “7” with a series of all-action colour illustrations contained within its outline, off set against a beautiful light gold background. A simple yet very effective designed film poster with artwork that is unique to the Japanese release. The example offered here is presented in excellent unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays beautifully. This rarely tuns up in such high grade condition and represents a fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the big screen’s greatest & most loved films.
Trivia: Steve McQueen desperately wanted to act in this film but couldn’t at first because the schedule of his TV series, Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), wouldn’t allow it. He crashed a car and while he was “out sick”, recovering from the accident he shot this film.

An original country of origin UK quad film poster from the original year of release 1979 for J. Lee Thompson’s brutal World War II thriller “The Passage”. The movie has an all-star cast; James Mason, Anthony Quinn, Malcolm McDowell who are featured through binocular lens’ on what is a very cleverly designed poster with the distinctive cap of a Nazi SS officer blended into the outline of the Pyrenees mountain range offset against a bright red background. Originally folded (as issued) it displays and presents to excellent effect. A hard poster to find, they are available but scarce in such high grade unrestored condition; the deep red background and colours are vivid, bright & unfaded and the design eye-catching and memorable. A desirable and collectable film poster that represents a fine example of original movie memorabilia.

“Judge, Jury, and Executioner is what The Punisher is.”
“The Punisher” may be one of the darkest comic book characters ever created. This film and especially Thomas Jane, get that which makes this film is one of the better in the genre, because it sticks to the source better than most. By 2004 the cinema had already seen an influx of ‘big-budget’ super hero movies; X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk as well as a re-imagined Batman so a ‘new’ Punisher was a safe bet as the character of Frank Castle still one of the most popular creations and a corner stone of the ‘Marvel Universe’. Designed by creative arts agency Intralink Film Graphic Design this original 2004 UK quad film poster is typical of the character, dark & moody. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive artwork highlighting both The Punisher (Thomas Jane) & his protagonist Howard Saint (John Travolta). It represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Seeing as he had only one involvement with the creation of the original Punisher character; (changing the character from ‘The Assassin’ to ‘The Punisher’) this is one of the few movies based on a Marvel Comic in which Stan Lee does not appear.

A beautiful, complete set of all nine US front of house lobby cards from first year of release, 1980 including the impressive Saul Bass designed title card for Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece of modern horror “The Shining”. These full-colour, full bleed (the imagery runs right to the edge with no border) cards comprise a series of incredible character and key scene imagery, that includes two from the iconic ‘Here’s Johnny’ moment with six in total to feature ‘mad’ Jack Nicholson. A rare find as a complete set as most were broken up and the cards sold individually. Totally original and unrestored, the cards are presented in high grade excellent flat, unfolded (as issued) condition that display and present to excellent effect. However, Jack Nicholson had worked as a volunteer fire marshal and tore it apart far too easily. The props department were then forced to build a stronger door.

Jonathan Demme’s “The Silence of the Lambs” is one of the best horror thriller movies ever made; excellent Award winning performances, full of dark humour and gory thrills. This 2020 alternative movie poster by the American graphic artist Todd Alcott is a truly outstanding piece as he re-imagines and pays homage to the classic 1962 one-sheet for another horror thriller “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane”. It really is a clever and visually stunning piece of artwork that appears as a beaten up old poster. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and has been printed to look aged and distressed. Alcott’s artwork represents a great twist on traditional horror movie memorabilia and is a great example in the rapidly expanding area of alternative movie posters being one of the best looking alternative movie posters I have seen.
Trivia: When Sir Anthony Hopkins‘s agent called him in London, to tell him that he was sending him a script called “The Silence of the Lambs,” Hopkins immediately thought he might be going up for a children’s movie.

A magnificent original 1960 British UK quad film poster for George Pal’s sci-fi time travel masterpiece for H G Wells’ “The Time Machine”…Beautiful Reynold Brown artwork for one of the best film’s of the genre features ‘George Wells’ battling it out against the cannibalistic Morlocks…a truly classic movie poster; lovely deep rich unfaded colours, fantastic imagery and perfectly complemented by the horizontal landscape design of the British quad. An incredibly rare example of a personal favourite film & movie poster that represents an incredible chance to own a corner stone piece of hugely collectable original movie memorabilia; highly recommended.
Trivia: The original time machine was sold at the MGM studio auction in 1971, the same auction that originally sold the Ruby Slippers (see trivia for The Wizard of Oz (1939)). The winner of the auction was the owner of a traveling show. Five years later the prop was found in a thrift store in Orange, CA. Film historian Bob Burns purchased it for $1,000. Using blueprints his friend George Pal had given him years earlier, he and a crew of friends restored it. The restoration crew included D.C. Fontana script consultant and writer on Star Trek (1966) and Michael Minor art director on Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (1982). John Carpenter’s tale of alien occupation is part horror, part Sci-Fi and part social satire, all viewed through dark sunglasses of Roddy Piper . This original They Live movie poster is probably the scarcest of all the John Carpenter paper from the series of four (Escape From New York, Prince of Darkness, The Fog & They Live) 2018 remastered re-releases and a very rare find in such excellent condition as offered here…The original 2018 Japanese B2 film poster for John Carpenter’s They Live was originally rolled (as issued) & presents in exceptional original unrestored condition with great detailed artwork (unique to the Japanese re-release, as the other posters produced for these releases all feature new re-imaging artwork by Matt Ferguson) & strong vibrant colours. Directed by John Landis and starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd “Trading Places” is one of the strongest comedies of the 1980’s and stands as some of the best work for the main participants – Eddie Murphy (Billy Ray Valentine), Dan Aykroyd (Louis Winthorpe III) & Jamie Lee Curtis (Ophelia). And all three are featured on this original black & white publicity still. Flat and unfolded (as issued) this excellent original 1983 publicity still presents exceptionally well and is presented in a custom made black frame finished with UV plexiglass and represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from a film lauded as a modern comedy classic.
Trivia: A poster for the fictional film “See You Next Wednesday” is prominently featured in several shots of Ophelia’s apartment. “See You Next Wednesday” is the same fictional film that John Landis references in many of his other films, most notably as a porn film shown in a London cinema in An American Werewolf in London (1981).

Released on Netflix in July 2023 “WHAM!” is one the channel’s most streamed programmes, documenting (largely through the scrap book diaries kept by Andrew Ridgeley’s Mum) the effervescent rise of the happy go lucky pop duo and the emergence of George into a global solo singer/song-writer superstar. Prior to the film’s Netflix release it was screened for one-night only on June 27th in only a small number of select cinemas throughout the UK. The poster (a UK quad) used to accompany and promote this release features the imagery of photographer Chris Craymer. His photograph perfectly captures the charm, bubbliness, friendship and true happiness of the duo as they were starting out on their musical journey. Incredibly rare, due to the very limited number of cinemas showing the movie, this originally rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and represents a fantastic and hugely collectable item of music and movie memorabilia.
