  • Bullitt Alternative Movie Poster

    Bullitt

    £225.00

“When some rare Chicago blood starts spilling in San Francisco, they give BULLITT the mop. They weren’t exactly doing him a favour. But they’ve done a great big one for you.”

The King of COOL just got a lot cooler as presented here by Graham Humphreys on this beautiful limited edition Artist Proof alternative movie poster from 2018, undoubtedly one of the best Steve McQueen images. His performance as tough cop Frank Bullitt cemented his iconic movie star status. This excellent example displays and presents to excellent effect with only the very minimum of handling wear, the colours are strong and the graphics and design exceptional. I personally don’t think there is one ‘bad’ poster from the artist and although he is most famous for his horror offerings this break from the norm piece is quite exceptional. Signed by Humphreys in pencil he has also hand-numbered this limited edition Artist Proof of only 10 produced. This beautiful alternative movie poster print represents a fine item of highly desirable movie memorabilia for a true screen and cultural legend.

Trivia: According to Peter Yates, Steve McQueen made a point to keep his head near the open car window during the famous chase scene so that audiences would be reassured that it was he, not a stunt man, who was driving,

Now an iconic and much admired motor racing movie showing just why Steve McQueen was the true King of Cool ! “When people risk their lives, shouldn’t it be for something very important?”

  • On Any Sunday Movie Poster

    On Any Sunday

    £395.00

“Motorcycle sport and the men who ride”

One of the more unusual and certainly an uncommon Steve McQueen movie posters. Truly dynamic photographic action imagery by John Bechtold for Bruce Brown’s 1971 motorcycle sports documentary “On Any Sunday”. Eye-catching and memorable the ‘blurred’ motorcycle imagery perfectly evacuates the speed speed and excitement of the race. Very scarce and becoming hard to find due to the Film’s very limited release and low advertising budget in its day. Now an iconic and much admired motor sport movie showing just why Steve McQueen was the true King of Cool and equally as talented, whether on two and four wheels. Presented rolled (as issued), it displays to very good effect with only minimal handling wear and represents a fantastic piece of McQueen, Motorcycle and cinematic movie memorabilia.

Trivia: The film was financed by Steve McQueen who also used his influence to allow filming at Camp Pendleton, (a marine base in California), when permission was originally denied to Bruce Brown.

  • Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Movie Poster

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

    £95.00

“A faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood’s Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.”

There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence and impact of Quentin Tarantino with his ninth feature “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” his most anticipated as he presents his own unique take on the end of ‘Hollywood’s Golden Age’ as the notorious Manson Family murders spelt the end of the hippie era of ‘Peace & Love’. With incredibly high production values and unique design dynamics (QT personally supervises the selection process) it is difficult to imagine a Tarantino movie where any of the posters and merchandising produced isn’t so hugely collectable and sought after. The 2019 country of origin ‘Coming Soon’ US / International Style B one sheet offered here is no exception. Designed by creative arts agency WORKS ADV and intended to complement the Style A design which features Brad Pitt & Leonardo DiCaprio this is truly a striking poster featuring Margot Robbie who plays the ‘doomed’ Sharon Tate in the Film outside the famous Westwood Village Theatre in Los Angeles.  Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie maker.

Trivia: Originally skeptical of the project, Sharon Tate’s sister Debra Tate gave the film and Margot’s portrayal of Sharon her blessing after Debra was embraced by Tarantino himself and became aware of how her sister would be represented within the film. Debra referred to Margot as a “dedicated craftsman,” and praised the actress’s research of Sharon prior to meeting with her.
