    The Notorious Bettie Page

    £95.00

    “Show some restraint !”

An original US one sheet movie poster for Mary Harron’s S & M, bondage biopic for “The Notorious Bettie Page”. A sexy and distinctive design by creative arts agency ‘And Company’ is extremely sought after and collectible. This clever, teasingly designed advance teaser US film poster is from first year of release 2005 and is printed on a heavier than usual quality paper stock. Being originally rolled (as issued) it displays to excellent effect with striking red background colour and eye-catching ‘Bettie Page’ (Gretchen Mol) imagery. Beautifully presented this scarce example represents a fine piece of original and desirable film movie memorabilia…Certainly a talking piece.

Trivia: Was originally going to be ‘Mary Harron”s follow up to I Shot Andy Warhol but for some unknown reason the financiers backed out at the last minute. Around that time Harron was given a copy of the novel ‘American Psycho’ and she decided to make it her next film until she could find financiers for her Bettie Page movie. It then took almost five years to get the money for The Notorious Bettie Page. Guinevere Turner also co-wrote both this film and American Psycho (2000) with Harron.

An original US one sheet movie poster for Mary Harron’s S & M, bondage biopic for “The Notorious Bettie Page”. A sexy and distinctive design by creative arts agency ‘And Company’ is extremely sought after and collectible. This tantalising risqué ‘stockings and suspenders’ designed US film poster is from first year of release 2005 and is printed on a heavier than usual quality paper stock. Being originally rolled (as issued) it displays to excellent effect with striking yellow background colour and eye-catching ‘Bettie Page’ (Gretchen Mol) imagery. Beautifully presented this scarce example represents a fine piece of original and desirable film movie memorabilia…Certainly a talking piece.

    The Wolf of Wall Street

    £95.00

“The name of the game, moving the money from the client’s pocket to your pocket”

A rare example of the Advance Teaser ‘Coming Soon’ UK quad movie poster for Martin Scorsese’s 2013  biopic of drug-fuelled New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort the titular “The Wolf of Wall Street”. Designed by the creative arts agency BLT Communications this is the Award winning first Advance Teaser version featuring a bold simple design concept just using black lettering offset against a fading gold background; effective and very clever. I particularly like the $ signs representing the States of America in the flag. Guaranteed original, it is presented in excellent near mint rolled (as issued) condition it appears almost faultless and represents an investment grade example of desirable and collectable original film movie memorabilia for one of Hollywood’s greatest director’s; Martin Scorsese and Award winning actor’s; Leonardo DiCaprio.

  • Wild-at-Heart-Movie-Poster

    Wild at Heart

    £195.00

“This whole world’s wild at heart and weird on top.”

Unique artwork only used for the British release, a striking portrait style image of a ‘dagger stabbing a heart’. This is a truly scarce original first release 1990 British UK double crown poster designed by The Creative Partnership for this surreal David Lynch classic. With deep black background and vibrant colour tones it looks stunning with the desirability of this scarce piece further enhanced as it is presented in unrestored, rolled condition (apologies for the photograph but the poster has a high gloss finish & is a tough one to photograph.) An impressive and quality item movie memorabilia for a very rare and collectable film poster from one of Cinema’s most revered ‘cult’ directors.

Trivia: The distinctive snakeskin jacket Sailor wears in the film was actually Nicolas Cage‘s own. Cage asked director David Lynch if he could wear the jacket in the film, as a tribute to Marlon Brando‘s role in The Fugitive Kind (1960). After filming was completed, Cage gave his jacket to Laura Dern.

Unique artwork only used for the British release, a striking landscape style image of a double ‘dagger stabbing a heart’. This is a truly scarce original first release 1990 British UK quad poster designed by The Creative Partnership for this surreal David Lynch classic. This incredibly rare advance poster was originally intended to be split in two and used as individual Double Crown sized posters (20″ x 30″) but as the design was so striking and well received some cinema managers left them intact and this one has survived uncut. With deep black background and vibrant colour tones it looks stunning with the desirability of this scarce piece further enhanced as it is presented in unrestored, rolled condition (apologies for the photograph but the poster has a high gloss finish & is a tough one to photograph.) An impressive and stylish item movie memorabilia for a very rare and collectable film poster from one of Cinema’s most revered ‘cult’ directors.

Trivia: Nicolas Cageage did his own singing and stated that “Wild at Heart” helped him get away from method acting. David Lynch‘s spontaneous re-writes and the film’s odd characters helped him to be more playful with the craft.
