Absolutely beautiful, 1980 US one sheet movie poster for the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. This Advance NSS style design features an incredible over-sized image of Darth Vader (so pivotal in this instalment of the franchise). After last being seen spinning off into outer space, the character of Vader was so popular after the first film that Lucas needed to assure the public that he was back for the sequel. Being originally folded (as issued) and totally unrestored this stunning example displays and presents to a very high standard with deep rich unfaded dark colours and represents a fine addition for any collector of original movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.

This eye-catching and desirable design was given a limited edition lenticular makeover in 2020 by Bottleneck Gallery and sold in 1 mm and 4mm editions. The poster offered here is printed on 1mm PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and mounted on high-density paper backing, numbered #200/300. Lenticular printing is a technology in which lenticular lenses (a technology used for 3D displays) are used to produce printed images with an illusion of depth or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles. Truly scarce and highly sought after, Ferguson’s imagery is already firmly established as a fans favourite, and this impressive item represents a fine addition for any collector of original movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.

Fans were waiting in huge anticipation for a UK quad, but due to the Covid epidemic the movie was only ever released in the USA with only concept images of what the quad would have looked like released online. The situation was rectified in late 2023 when Matt Ferguson in conjunction with Vice Press and Bottleneck Gallery released in an incredible full size 30″ x 40″ quad art print – no credits, just put artwork and title – It truly is spectacular with superb print quality. Presented here in excellent condition this beautiful 2023 rolled (as issued) example has deep unfaded vibrant colour tones with only the very minimal of handling wear. With an extremely limited release of only 250 this hand-numbered #128 is a truly scarce poster and highly sought after. Already firmly established as a fans favourite this impressive item represents a fine addition for any collector of movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.

“The Way” by Rory Kurtz for Mondo was released to celebrate Season One of the hit TV series, and it is such a cool poster. Hand-Annotated ‘Archive 2’ as it has come directly from the personal archive of the artist Rory Kurtz and printed using eleven colour inks on Domtar Lynx Opaque 100# cover paper. Kurtz has this to say about the design “The Mandalorian is mysterious and iconic in aesthetic, and I felt the art should mirror that, with Mando holstering his blaster stoically amidst the smoke, ash, and fallen enemies of the recently finished battle”. This is a truly scarce alternative movie poster and highly sought after. With Mando and Grogu already firmly established as a fans favourite this impressive item represents a fine addition for any poster or art collector or Star Wars fan memorabilia.
A beautiful alternative movie poster by Paul Mann for Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi actioner with an Egyptian mythology twist “Stargate”. Superb artwork for this highly enjoyable romp, resulting in one of the best looking alternative movie posters for the title. Printed in 2023 by Mad Duck this ‘Black’ edition is hand-numbered #25 from a run of 250. Mann’s beautifully detailed artwork and outstanding characterisations, combines with a beautiful colour palette to create an art print that certainly impresses. Presented in excellent (as issued) condition it represents a fine example of desirable and highly collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The stargate is a system designed to open a wormhole. A wormhole is a hypothetical way of space travel called an “Einstein-Rosen bridge”, named after scientists Nathan Rosen and Albert Einstein. According to them, the wormhole should be capable to unite two distant points in the universe, altering space-time laws to cross from a point to another in a brief period of time. The name “wormhole” compares the universe to an apple, with a worm boring through it to reach a point on the other side instead of crawling the long way around on the outside.

The third entry in the Salkind’s ‘Superman’ canon sees Richard Lester’s more comedic action touch as Christopher Reeve again dons the red cape in the 1983 release “Superman III”. Humour is largely provided by an excellent over the top performance (in reality just playing himself) by comic genius Richard Pryor as computer genius Gus Gorman. And it is Reeve and Pryor who feature prominently on this British UK quad film poster. The colourful all-action design sees Superman in full flight smashing his way to defeat the ‘villain’ Gus’ ‘super-computer’ Gorman From first year of release (1983) this rare folded (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Beautiful artwork and vivid unfaded colours this is an exceptional unrestored example of very collectable original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: According to Ilya Salkind, an earlier version of the script included the comic book villains Brainiac and Mr. Mxyzptlk teaming up, and Superman meeting his cousin, Supergirl, which would lead to the potential Supergirl spin-off.

“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”
After the huge success of Halloween John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally creepy horror The Fog. Taking creepy imagery from the movie the US one-sheet features silhouetted zombie pirates in a ‘fog’ filed room. The original movie poster offered here is from first year of release, 1980 and displays to excellent effect. Originally folded (as issued) it is presented in unrestored condition with only minimal handling wear. Great horror imagery on a genuinely rare cult classic from the Carpenter archives that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Although this was essentially a low budget independent movie, John Carpenter chose to shoot the movie in anamorphic widescreen Panavision. This decision gave the movie a grander feel for the viewer so this didn’t seem like a low budget horror movie.

A stunning and memorable original 1977 US one sheet movie poster for Edgar Rice Burroughs’ direct sequel to the successful “The Land That Time Forgot”. Originally folded (as issued) this totally unrestored example has stood the test of time very well and displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic piece of rare original film memorabilia from a much loved series of fantasy adventure films.

The ultimate Midnight movie – A true horror, sci-fi, musical cult classic (& you don’t get to say that too often). This country of origin UK quad film poster is from 40th Anniversary digitally remastered release in 2015 featuring reworked artwork (a huge pair of BLOOD RED LIPS) from the ‘Different Set of Jaws’ US poster campaign. Immediately recognisable as ‘Rocky Horror’ and hugely sought after by the film’s hardcore and loyal worldwide fan base. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb example presents and displays to excellent effect & represents a really fine and affordable item of original film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Oakley Court, Dr. Frank N. Furter’s “Castle”, was used in numerous Hammer horror films made at adjacent Bray Studios (where the lab and ballroom scenes were shot), including The House in Nightmare Park (1973), The Reptile (1966) and The Brides of Dracula (1960)
