“It’s not a biography. It’s a senses attack”
Undoubtedly, one of the great music biography films; David Bowie as presented by Brett Morgen in “Moonage Daydream”. Technically it’s not a biography but a loud, vivid, exploration and celebration of Bowie’s life, art, and music. Made up of clips cleverly edited together and enhanced to make this a cinematic experience. This original 2022 one-sheet designed by Empire Design and featuring an iconic Bianca Moran Parkes Bowie image is a truly great find due to the very limited cinematic release in art-house and small independent cinemas. Presented in near perfect unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition – truly stunning, and a perfect compliment to the ground breaking musician. Incredibly scarce with a very low print run this really is an exciting item of rock / movie collectible from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: The documentary includes a lot of David Bowie‘s unpublished personal material, including photos, home videos and some interviews on TV. Director Brett Morgen talked in person with Bowie’s widow, top model Iman, for asking permission to use the material as tribute to Bowie. Although in a first moment she was reluctant to this idea, she was convinced by Morgen’s previous works Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015) and Jane (2017) about singer Kurt Cobain and scientist Jane Goodall, where Morgen used personal material from each other to create artistic collages as tribute to them, instead to use in the way to make a classic biographic documentary.

A UK quad from the 50th Anniversary re-release of the Fab Four’s wacky, animated classic “Yellow Submarine” in 2018. The movie was digitally restored with the sound remixed and remastered and given a very limited cinema release. Paying homage to the design of the original 1968 UK quad, this modern updating makes great use of the bold and vibrant colours used throughout the movie with classic psychedelic Beatles imagery. Presented in excellent, rolled (as issued) condition this is a fantastic Beatles collectable and an amazing piece of music, film and cultural memorabilia. Included with the poster is a 50th Anniversary liveried “Yellow Submarine”envelope containing an invitation to the premiere screening on July 8th, four exclusive postcards and character stickers.
Trivia: Reportedly one of the favorite movies of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, who owned her own copy of the film.

The most unforgettable ‘one-hour plus’ live-concert that took us back to The Beatles’ era. Peter Jackson used split-screen effectively to capture natural reactions from seemingly random audience. Each members lit up the screen with their own persona.

“The Beatles: Eight Days A Week (The Touring Years)” is an outstanding documentary that features footage of the heady concert years of 1963 to 1966 when the band became a worldwide cultural phenomena topping them all. Furthermore, it also follows how the ‘Fab Four’ began to change and grow while the excitement of ‘Beatlemania’ began to sour their lives into an intolerable slog they needed to escape from. A mesmeric and engrossing rock documentary film for one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time. With a very limited release & showing in only a handful of independent and art-house cinemas the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. Designed by the Los Angeles based visual communications company Gravillis Inc. it utilises a previously unseen colour candid photograph of the Group. Undoubtedly, one of the great concert footage films; David Bowie in “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars” . The historic farewell performance of the king of glam rock; directed by D.A. Pennebaker and featuring the award winning British musician David Bowie under his ‘Ziggy’ persona with his group The Spiders from Mars – Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey – performing at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 3rd July 1973. This original Japanese B1 (equivalent to a one-sheet) is a truly great find with imagery unique to this very limited re-release (only happened in Japan) in 2022. Presented in near perfect unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition the imagery features a fantastic, rarely seen close up of Bowie in Ziggy persona – stunning, really doing justice to the iconic musician. Incredibly scarce with a very low print run this really is an exciting item of rock / movie collectible from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.

Trivia: RCA requested that many references to, mostly, death and suicide in Bowie’s lyrics should be bleeped. Pennebaker gave way. But he only bleeped the mono-sound negative, while the stereo film print and soundtrack remained non-bleeped.
