“The Beatles: Eight Days A Week (The Touring Years)” is an outstanding documentary that features footage of the heady concert years of 1963 to 1966 when the band became a worldwide cultural phenomena topping them all. Furthermore, it also follows how the ‘Fab Four’ began to change and grow while the excitement of ‘Beatlemania’ began to sour their lives into an intolerable slog they needed to escape from. A mesmeric and engrossing rock documentary film for one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time. With a very limited release & showing in only a handful of independent and art-house cinemas the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. Designed by the Los Angeles based visual communications company Gravillis Inc. it utilises a previously unseen colour candid photograph of the Group. Jackie Chan was a huge star in the far east and Europe and it was the Robert Clouse directed (Clouse had previously directed Bruce Lee in “Enter the Dragon”) martial arts actioner “The Big Brawl” that introduced him to audiences in the USA. Previous kung fu / martial arts movies relied on audience excitement by having a great action poster and that caveat certainly applied to the UK quad design. The artwork used on the British campaign was exclusive to the UK and features incredible fight graphics and fantastic image of the movie’s hero Jerry Kwan (Jackie Chan). The original 1980 UK quad movie poster offered here is from first year of release and displays and presents to excellent effect. Originally folded (as issued) the colours are bright and unfaded and art action packed and exciting. With minimal handling and age wear this beautiful folded unrestored film poster is a fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia.

An amazing, colourful, full of fun film poster from first year of release 1999 for Brad Bird’s giant alien robot animated adventure “The Iron Giant”. This really is stunning, retro styling and beautiful rich blue/green colour tones, this country of origin US one sheet is the incredibly scarce International version. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents and displays to excellent effect. Perfectly designed to suit the portrait layout of a one sheet it certainly impresses and represents a great looking, cleverly imagined piece of original movie memorabilia…“For the child in all of us ?”
Trivia: The Iron Giant and Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy are both voiced by Vin Diesel and, in both times, the sound technician that worked on it was Doc Kane. Both characters end up sacrificing themselves, but are ultimately resurrected.

“She Loved Men… To Death.”
A glorious looking film poster full of colour, designed by Fred Davis with beautiful finished artwork of the ‘love witch’ Samantha Robinson by the extremely talented illustrator Michael Koelsch. Anna Biller’s dark horror comedy was very well received, critically & commercially on its 2016 release and is regarded as a classy ‘modern’ homage to the cheesy ‘B’ movie horror films that prospered during the 1970’s. This country of origin US one-sheet movie poster is from first year of release 2016 and hugely sought after by the film’s hardcore and loyal fan base and horror fans alike. Having a a very limited release, primarily in a small number of ‘art-house’ & ‘specialist’ cinemas combined with a low key advertising campaign the movie poster that accompanied the release is truly scarce. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect & represents a really exceptional piece of original ‘cult’ film movie memorabilia.

One of the most collected titles from the western genre, John Sturges’ star-studded blockbuster “The Magnificent Seven”. A must watch with an impressive number of film posters to match including the first year of release, 1960 Japanese B2 offered here A truly great design that emphasises the “7” with a series of all-action colour illustrations contained within its outline, off set against a beautiful light gold background. A simple yet very effective designed film poster with artwork that is unique to the Japanese release. The example offered here is presented in excellent unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays beautifully. This rarely tuns up in such high grade condition and represents a fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the big screen’s greatest & most loved films.
Trivia: Steve McQueen desperately wanted to act in this film but couldn’t at first because the schedule of his TV series, Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), wouldn’t allow it. He crashed a car and while he was “out sick”, recovering from the accident he shot this film.

“Judge, Jury, and Executioner is what The Punisher is.”
“The Punisher” may be one of the darkest comic book characters ever created. This film and especially Thomas Jane, get that which makes this film is one of the better in the genre, because it sticks to the source better than most. By 2004 the cinema had already seen an influx of ‘big-budget’ super hero movies; X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk as well as a re-imagined Batman so a ‘new’ Punisher was a safe bet as the character of Frank Castle still one of the most popular creations and a corner stone of the ‘Marvel Universe’. Designed by creative arts agency Intralink Film Graphic Design this original 2004 UK quad film poster is typical of the character, dark & moody. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive artwork highlighting both The Punisher (Thomas Jane) & his protagonist Howard Saint (John Travolta). It represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Seeing as he had only one involvement with the creation of the original Punisher character; (changing the character from ‘The Assassin’ to ‘The Punisher’) this is one of the few movies based on a Marvel Comic in which Stan Lee does not appear.
