    Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! So why reinvent it ? When it comes to amazing alternative movie posters, this hand-numbered (#24/250) limited edition art print by Andrew Swainson is a real eye-catcher. There are a lot of alternative ‘Jaws’ posters on the market with this 2021 offering considered one of the best and most desirable; very clever imagery. Released by Vice Press, this wonderfully subtle design by Swainson is a God’s eye view of Amity Island’s beach moments before the shark takes young Alex Kintner as its second victim. We can just make out the image of a shark in the water with its teeth being integrated into the waves as they break onto the shore. A very limited release. Totally unrestored this originally rolled unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect. Perfect, colours is a truly outstanding and extremely rare  film poster print that represents a key item of highly sought after modern movie memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”

    Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

    A terrifying eye-catching film poster for Ken Russell’s “Lair of the White Worm”. This original 1988 UK quad film poster is stunning; truly memorable horror imagery as we see a close up of snarling fanged snake-creature about to attack. With unique British, country of origin artwork this is an extremely desirable and very scarce poster.     Trivia: The D’Ampton worm is an obvious reference to the Lambton worm, which is a real English legend, dating back at least to the mediaeval period.

    Although a relatively recent release any paper for Edgar Wright’s 2021 horror mystery “Last Night in Soho” is highly desirable. Not only because it is such a stylish and cool thriller movie but because of a beautiful painted movie poster created by artist, James Paterson. Although a huge success with audiences and critics alike the movie is considered somewhat ‘art-house’ and had a very limited cinema release resulting in the scarcity of the posters used in the marketing campaign with this particular one-sheet design only being used for cinemas where Edgar Wright undertook personal appearances for ‘question & answer’ screenings. Originally rolled (as issued) this British one-sheet movie poster looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear with imagery perfectly suited to the portrait style format; the subtle use of colours are particularly memorable. A scarce, ‘modern’ original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks very very cool !

    Trivia: The drink ordered by Sandie early on in the film is a Vesper created by Ian Fleming in the 1953 James Bond novel Casino Royale. The character Vesper Lynd was portrayed by Eva Green in Casino Royale (2006).

    A scarce and beautiful example from a series of films financed and produced in Italy during the 1960’s and affectionately known as ‘sword and sandal’ dramas. “Monster From The Unknown World” (Atlas in the Land of the Cyclops) tells the story of strongman Maciste (for Maciste you could insert Samson, Hercules, Atlas etc) as he battles mythical beasts in the search for ancient justice. Camp (not necessarily the intention) and certainly of the time these series of films have developed a cult following and are particularly collectable. This original UK quad film poster for Antonio Leonviola’s “Monster From The Unknown World” is from first year of release 1961 and really is a stunning example of fantasy horror artwork which is unique to the British release. Very rare to find in such fine original unrestored condition; the colours are bright, vibrant & unfaded & really pop from the paper. This scarce, folded (as issued) unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents an extremely desirable piece of 1960’s British cinema memorabilia.

    Undoubtedly, one of the great music biography films; David Bowie as presented by Brett Morgen in “Moonage Daydream”. Technically it’s not a biography but a loud, vivid, exploration and celebration of Bowie’s life, art, and music. Made up of clips cleverly edited together and enhanced to make this a cinematic experience. This original 2022 one-sheet designed by Empire Design and featuring an iconic Bianca Moran Parkes Bowie image is a truly great find due to the very limited cinematic release in art-house and small independent cinemas. Presented in near perfect unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition – truly stunning, and a perfect compliment to the ground breaking musician. Incredibly scarce with a very low print run this really is an exciting item of rock / movie collectible from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.

    Trivia: The documentary includes a lot of David Bowie‘s unpublished personal material, including photos, home videos and some interviews on TV. Director Brett Morgen talked in person with Bowie’s widow, top model Iman, for asking permission to use the material as tribute to Bowie. Although in a first moment she was reluctant to this idea, she was convinced by Morgen’s previous works Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015) and Jane (2017) about singer Kurt Cobain and scientist Jane Goodall, where Morgen used personal material from each other to create artistic collages as tribute to them, instead to use in the way to make a classic biographic documentary.

A hard poster to track down with any paper for this under-appreciated undead classic becoming increasingly scarce. Offered here is an incredibly rare rolled (as issued) totally unrestored British UK quad movie poster from first year of release 1987 featuring a country unique design by Marcus Silversides and Mike Harris. It displays & presents to very good effect with some light edge wear to the borders. Deep colour tones a & stunning horror vampire imagery. A modern horror classic that is a superb piece of highly collectable movie memorabilia from one of the seminal horror films of the 1980s.

    Trivia: According to Bill Paxton, the driver that gives him the finger when he’s hitchhiking is played by none other than James Cameron, who had visited the set that day.

    A great looking horror poster from the early 1970’s for Peter Sasdy’s much under rated horror thriller starring Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing. This original Nothing But The Night movie poster is from first year of release, 1972 and is a striking example of horror poster design and artwork by Vic Fair that certainly remains in the memory; a flaming star featuring a hanged man; a creepy clown with fireworks for fingers. Very rare and hard to find in such excellent original unrestored condition; the black background is a deep unfaded black whilst the coloured imagery is bright and truly stands out. This scarce, rolled (as issued) example displays and presents superbly and represents an extremely collectable piece of 1970’s British horror cinema memorabilia.

    TRIVIA: This movie was the first and last film produced by a production company called Charlemagne which Christopher Lee and Anthony Nelson-Keys created and attempted to make successful, sadly it didn’t work out.
