…more detailMartin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” is an iconic motion picture and a giant of the gangster genre that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The movie poster imagery that accompanied the 1990 release was equally as striking. The central imagery of the three stars (De Niro, Pesci & Liotta) was used for the worldwide advertising campaign and those three characters are featured here, staring into the trunk of the car on this 2022 alternative movie poster by Florey and Matt Ferguson in one of the most memorable scenes from the movie as they get set to bury Billy Batts in the forest. A clever and eye-catching design this originally rolled (as issued) example displays & presents to excellent effect with beautiful dark colour tones and a red brake light that pops from the paper. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by both artists with a number (#20/200) matching that hand-written on the poster. Hugely desirable and a must have title for the serious poster collector or Goodfellas fan it represents a premium piece of quality collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The “How am I funny?” scene is based on something that actually happened to Joe Pesci. While working in a restaurant, a young Pesci apparently told a mobster that he was funny, a compliment that was met with a less-than-enthusiastic response. Pesci relayed the anecdote to Martin Scorsese, who decided to include it in the film. Scorsese didn’t include the scene in the shooting script, so that Pesci and Ray Liotta‘s interactions would elicit genuinely surprised reactions from the supporting cast.

It is an iconic motion picture that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The movie poster that accompanied the Czech release of Martin Scorsese’s Oscar winning Jake La Motta biopic “Raging Bull” was equally as striking. Czech artist Zdenek Ziegler has impressively adapted the close up image of La Motta (De Niro) from the US & British campaigns and added a ‘devilish’ tone to the design. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with deep unfaded colours. Very rare, as it received a very limited release in Czechoslovakia and was only shown in a handful of ‘art-house’ cinemas. A must have title for the serious collector or fan it represents a fantastic item of good looking collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The reasons why the film was made in black and white were mainly to differentiate it from Rocky (1976), as well as for period authenticity. Another reason was that Martin Scorsesedidn’t want to depict all that blood in a color picture. Also, in the book, Jake LaMotta says “Now, sometimes, at night, when I think back, I feel like I’m looking at an old black and white movie of myself. Why it should be black and white I don’t know, but it is.”

Live action black and white imagery of the band is the major feature of great looking poster. An highly entertaining and engrossing music documentary film for one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time. Showing in only a handful of independent and art-house cinemas the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. This originally rolled (as issued) example displays to excellent effect and certainly looks impressive and represents a fantastic item of original collectable music and movie memorabilia.
Trivia: As Keith Richards sings “You Got the Silver”, he wears a trench-coat with a pirate pin on the collar. This is a gift from working on “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007).”

…more detailThis is certainly one of the most compelling and despite its three hour plus runtime, most watchable films Martin Scorsese has directed. It is an epic motion picture that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The ‘cast’ style UK quad film poster by Concept Arts that accompanied this 2019 release of “The Irishman” was equally as striking as it features three of the greatest actors of any generation – Robert De Niro, Al Pacino & Joe Pesci. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with dark unfaded background and outstanding character imagery. Very scarce with a incredibly low print run, as it was essentially a Netflix streaming service movie which received a limited cinematic release so it would qualify as a contender for Academy Award recognition and was only shown in a handful of independent cinemas with no general release. A must have title for the serious collector or fan.
Trivia: “I heard you paint houses” were the first words Jimmy Hoffa ever spoke to Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. On The Tonight Show, Robert De Niro remarked that the term, along with “I also do my own carpentry work,” refer to both the hit and the clean-up.
