  • Bullitt Alternative Movie Poster

    Bullitt

    £225.00

“When some rare Chicago blood starts spilling in San Francisco, they give BULLITT the mop. They weren’t exactly doing him a favour. But they’ve done a great big one for you.”

The King of COOL just got a lot cooler as presented here by Graham Humphreys on this beautiful limited edition Artist Proof alternative movie poster from 2018, undoubtedly one of the best Steve McQueen images. His performance as tough cop Frank Bullitt cemented his iconic movie star status. This excellent example displays and presents to excellent effect with only the very minimum of handling wear, the colours are strong and the graphics and design exceptional. I personally don’t think there is one ‘bad’ poster from the artist and although he is most famous for his horror offerings this break from the norm piece is quite exceptional. Signed by Humphreys in pencil he has also hand-numbered this limited edition Artist Proof of only 10 produced. This beautiful alternative movie poster print represents a fine item of highly desirable movie memorabilia for a true screen and cultural legend.

Trivia: According to Peter Yates, Steve McQueen made a point to keep his head near the open car window during the famous chase scene so that audiences would be reassured that it was he, not a stunt man, who was driving,

  • Godfather: Part II Movie Poster

    Godfather: Part II

    £475.00

“I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart !”

The second part of Francis Ford Coppola’s Epic and violent Gangster Trilogy “The Godfather: Part II”, follows the reign of ‘new’ Don, Michael Corleone as the head of the Corleone family. The film shows us the early years of Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) played flawlessly by Academy Award Winner Robert De Niro, and how he created his empire of money, gambling and respect. Beautifully directed by Francis Ford Coppola, it exceeds every expectation with outstanding performances from Academy Award winners Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall and Robert De Niro. One of the finest films ever made, making this US, country of origin one-sheet from first year of release, 1974 highly desirable. Originally folded (as issued), the poster has been conservation linen backed with fold lines touched out and now presents to excellent effect that represents a truly outstanding item of original film movie memorabilia.

Trivia: Hyman Roth’s character is loosely based on real-life mobster Meyer Lansky. Lansky, who at the time of the film’s release was living in Miami, reportedly phoned Lee Strasberg and said, “Now, why couldn’t you have made me more sympathetic ? After all, I am a grandfather.”

  • Goodfellas Alternative Movie Poster

    Goodfellas

    £275.00

“As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a gangster.” — Henry Hill, Brooklyn, N.Y. 1955.”

Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” is an iconic motion picture and a giant of the gangster genre that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The movie poster imagery that accompanied the 1990 release was equally as striking. The central imagery of the three stars (De Niro, Pesci & Liotta) was used for the worldwide advertising campaign and those three characters are featured here, staring into the trunk of the car on this 2022 alternative movie poster by Florey and Matt Ferguson in one of the most memorable scenes from the movie as they get set to bury Billy Batts in the forest. A clever and eye-catching design this originally rolled (as issued) example displays & presents to excellent effect with beautiful dark colour tones and a red brake light that pops from the paper. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by both artists with a number (#20/200) matching that hand-written on the poster. Hugely desirable and a must have title for the serious poster collector or Goodfellas fan it represents a premium piece of quality collectable movie memorabilia.

Trivia: The “How am I funny?” scene is based on something that actually happened to Joe Pesci. While working in a restaurant, a young Pesci apparently told a mobster that he was funny, a compliment that was met with a less-than-enthusiastic response. Pesci relayed the anecdote to Martin Scorsese, who decided to include it in the film. Scorsese didn’t include the scene in the shooting script, so that Pesci and Ray Liotta‘s interactions would elicit genuinely surprised reactions from the supporting cast.

  • Punisher-War-Zone-Movie-Poster

    Punisher: War Zone

    £35.00

    “VENGEANCE HAS A NAME”

Taken on its own terms, “Punisher: War Zone” is everything it is supposed to be: excessively violent, larger than life, fast paced, and almost always loads of fun. War Zone doesn’t take itself seriously and it doesn’t ask the audience to do so. Firmly established as Marvels darkest and most controversial ‘hero’ it would be fair to say that The Punisher is probably best known and enjoyed by American, European and Far East fanboys than those in Britain and although heavily promoted in said areas the British release was fairly limited, with the movie being shown in only a handful of cinemas. Meaning that the accompanying film poster is genuinely scarce, which is a real shame as both LA & Ignition creative design agencies have collaborated to produce a real stand out poster for the UK quad design. This original 2008 UK quad film poster is very dark & very moody and printed on a heavy stock paper with a matt finish that only enhances the dark shadowy  tones further. A real ‘peach’ of a Punisher poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive gritty artwork that represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.

Trivia: After this film, the live action film rights to the Punisher reverted back to Marvel Studios. Ray Stevenson would later appear in another Marvel production, produced by Marvel Studios this time, as Volstagg in the Thor film series.

  • The Irishman Movie Poster

    The Irishman

    £175.00

“If they can whack a President, they can whack a president of a union. You know it and I know it.”

This is certainly one of the most compelling and despite its three hour plus runtime, most watchable films Martin Scorsese has directed. It is an epic  motion picture that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The ‘cast’ style UK quad film poster by Concept Arts that accompanied this 2019 release of “The Irishman” was equally as striking as it features three of the greatest actors of any generation – Robert De Niro, Al Pacino & Joe Pesci. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with dark unfaded background and outstanding character imagery. Very scarce with a incredibly low print run, as it was essentially a Netflix streaming service movie which received a limited cinematic release so it would qualify as a contender for Academy Award recognition and was only shown in a handful of independent cinemas with no general release. A must have title for the serious collector or fan.

Trivia: “I heard you paint houses” were the first words Jimmy Hoffa ever spoke to Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. On The Tonight Show, Robert De Niro remarked that the term, along with “I also do my own carpentry work,” refer to both the hit and the clean-up.

Folded (as issued) it represents an exceptional piece of collectible original film memorabilia from a true British gangster classic…“The Mafia? I’ve shit ’em”

  • The-Punisher-Movie-Poster

    The Punisher

    £35.00

“Judge, Jury, and Executioner is what The Punisher is.”

“The Punisher” may be one of the darkest comic book characters ever created. This film and especially Thomas Jane, get that which makes this film is one of the better in the genre, because it sticks to the source better than most. By 2004 the cinema had already seen an influx of ‘big-budget’ super hero movies; X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk as well as a re-imagined Batman so a ‘new’ Punisher was a safe bet as the character of Frank Castle still one of the most popular creations and a corner stone of the ‘Marvel Universe’. Designed by creative arts agency Intralink Film Graphic Design this original 2004 UK quad film poster is typical of the character, dark & moody. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive artwork highlighting both The Punisher (Thomas Jane) & his protagonist Howard Saint (John Travolta). It represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.

Trivia: Seeing as he had only one involvement with the creation of the original Punisher character; (changing the character from ‘The Assassin’ to ‘The Punisher’) this is one of the few movies based on a Marvel Comic in which Stan Lee does not appear.
