    An original 2009 Advance UK Quad movie poster for Phil Claydon’s horror comedy romp “Lesbian Vampire Killers”. James Corden and Mathew Horne (yes, the two guys from the hit TV show “Gavin and Stacey”) in their first cinematic endeavour. This movie is often compared to “Shaun of the Dead” but with lesbian vampires and has established a real cult following of fans. A eye-catching poster design by FEREF makes for a desirable piece of original movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: Writers Stewart Williams and Paul Hupfield were challenged to think of the dumbest and yet most commercial title possible for a film, Lesbian Vampire Killers was the answer. They then went away and wrote the script.

    A absolutely stunning Japanese B2 film poster for one of the best vampire films ever made…Joel Schumacher’s “The Lost Boys”. Featuring country unique artwork by the Japanese artist Akira Yokoyama, this really is one of the best examples created for this cult horror-comedy title. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents to excellent effect. This is THE teenage angst vampire movie with this high grade poster showcasing the teen vampires in all their undead glory…“Something I never could stomach about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires!”

    Trivia: In the cave of the Lost Boys, you can see a poster of Jim Morrison, who recorded the original version of “People are Strange” with The Doors. Also, when Star and Laddie are being carried into Sam’s room, you can see a poster of Echo & The Bunnymen, who recorded the version used in the movie.

    Titled “The May Queen” this impressive giclee art print inspired by Ari Aster’s cult classic horror film “MidSommar” features the beautiful and intricate artwork of Ukrainian artist Ann Bembi, who’s photo-realistic style perfectly suits the content. With shades of “Wicker Man” the bright colours and sea of flowers can’t hide the anguish and fear of lead actress Florence Pugh (Dani). A lovely alternative movie poster for this slow-burn pagan horror that has a rapidly growing cult following. Available for a strictly limited one-hour time window on April 5th 2022 when 580 were ordered, with the poster here being hand-numbered #222. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an outstanding piece of horror genre movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: The practice of ättestupa is effectively a myth. As depicted in the movie, the elderly were expected to sacrifice for the good of the village, maintaining efficiency.

    A scarce and beautiful example from a series of films financed and produced in Italy during the 1960’s and affectionately known as ‘sword and sandal’ dramas. “Monster From The Unknown World” (Atlas in the Land of the Cyclops) tells the story of strongman Maciste (for Maciste you could insert Samson, Hercules, Atlas etc) as he battles mythical beasts in the search for ancient justice. Camp (not necessarily the intention) and certainly of the time these series of films have developed a cult following and are particularly collectable. This original UK quad film poster for Antonio Leonviola’s “Monster From The Unknown World” is from first year of release 1961 and really is a stunning example of fantasy horror artwork which is unique to the British release. Very rare to find in such fine original unrestored condition; the colours are bright, vibrant & unfaded & really pop from the paper. This scarce, folded (as issued) unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents an extremely desirable piece of 1960’s British cinema memorabilia.

    In 2022 George A. Romero’s zombie classic “Night of the Living Dead”, received an extremely limited release exclusively in certain Japanese cinemas. Designed using zombie footage from the movie their were two poster designs, black, white and lurid green imagery with either a grey or green sky printed to accompany the screenings. Both are particularly haunting with a very retro feel. These country unique, Japanese B2 posters are extremely eye-catching and presented in excellent unrestored, originally rolled (as issued) condition. Incredibly scarce horror artwork and a very rare highly desirable example of cinema memorabilia from perhaps the most influential horror film of the modern era. Both colour styles are equally rare with this example being the ‘green’ sky version.

    Trivia: This is one of the most profitable independent movies ever made. Made for $114,000 (equivalent to $941,800 in 2022), it grossed approximately $30 million (equivalent to $247.8 million in 2022) – over 263 times its budget.

    A great looking horror poster from the early 1970’s for Peter Sasdy’s much under rated horror thriller starring Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing. This original Nothing But The Night movie poster is from first year of release, 1972 and is a striking example of horror poster design and artwork by Vic Fair that certainly remains in the memory; a flaming star featuring a hanged man; a creepy clown with fireworks for fingers. Very rare and hard to find in such excellent original unrestored condition; the black background is a deep unfaded black whilst the coloured imagery is bright and truly stands out. This scarce, rolled (as issued) example displays and presents superbly and represents an extremely collectable piece of 1970’s British horror cinema memorabilia.

    TRIVIA: This movie was the first and last film produced by a production company called Charlemagne which Christopher Lee and Anthony Nelson-Keys created and attempted to make successful, sadly it didn’t work out.

    A superb and eye-catching alternative movie poster by Graham Humphreys’ for “Planet Terror”, Robert Rodriguez‘ homage to the ‘Grindhouse’ movies of the Seventies. A clever, stylish design as heroes, zombies and monsters adorn the background with a centre-piece which focuses on the iconic Rose McGowan‘s ‘machine gun legged’ character – Cherry Darling. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition with amazingly vibrant colour tones this hand-numbered Artist Proof edition from 2021 is hand-numbered #AP 2/5 and has been signed by Graham Humphrey’s that represents a an amazing piece of cinematic memorabilia.

    Trivia: Michael Parks reprises his character as Sheriff Earl McGraw in Planet Terror (2007). He also played Sheriff Earl McGraw in Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), as well as Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004).
