    The poster campaign for Darren Aronofsky’s 2010 psychological thriller “Black Swan” was really quite exceptional, with creative design agency La Boca picking up a multitude of cinema & design awards for their series of four posters. This outstanding set of ALL four (4) posters is indeed a magnificent find. This complete set is the ultra rare promotional series of four (4) UK / British one sheet posters, given exclusively to Studio executives and VIP’s. There are very few in existence. Printed on heavy stock paper this “White Dancer in Black Swan” style is lightly rolled. Colours are fantastic and condition is as perfect as one could hope for; it displays superbly. One of the best looking and certainly the rarest and most collectable set of film memorabilia posters of recent years ALL presented in investment grade condition. ***NOTE: Price quoted is for SET of ALL 4 posters***

    Trivia: This was the fifth horror film nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, after The Exorcist (1973), Jaws (1975), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), and The Sixth Sense (1999). Of these five, only The Silence of the Lambs won.

    Sam Raimi’s “The Evil Dead” is one of the best horror comedy movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this is one of the greatest performing films, dollar for dollar in cinematic history. One of the most popular film titles for alternative movie posters artists, this 2016 hand-numbered (#134/220) print by Francesco Francavilla is a standout piece and a proper horror poster as a chainsaw wielding Ash (Bruce Campbell) and the demonically possessed Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss) dominate the blood red coloured imagery. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly that represents an impressive piece of horror artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster. “I know now that my wife has become host to a Kandarian demon. I fear that the only way to stop those possessed by the spirits of the book is through the act of… bodily dismemberment.”

    Trivia: Over his years as a director, Raimi’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (originally bought by Raimi’s father for the family when Sam was 14) has “played” Ash’s car in the Evil Dead movies, Uncle Ben and Aunt May’s car in the Spider-Man movies, Annie’s car in The Gift (2000), and Mrs. Ganoush’s car in Drag Me to Hell (2009), and has made cameos in nearly all of his other movies.

    Artist Matthew Peak is no stranger to horror icons as it was his Freddy Krueger artwork that adorned the first Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) US One-Sheet and has now has created an award-winning “Frankenstein Monster” print for the 2018 exhibition Mondo Presents “Universal Studio Monsters”. This limited-edition example has been hand-numbered #6 from a print run of 325. In 2018, the leading and most respected alternative movie poster forum expressobeans.com made this print their “Cinema Poster of the Year”. Incredibly rare and highly collectible, an excellent example of modern cinematic movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: Boris Karloffs Monster in this film does not physically resemble the character in Mary Shelley‘s novel. It was make-up artist Jack P. Pierce who came up with innovations such as the Monster’s flat head, the bolts through the neck, the droopy eyelids, and the poorly-fitted suit. Any future Frankenstein film that features any of these physical abnormalities is taking its inspiration from Pierce’s make-up work.

    A scarce original Japanese B2 film poster and one of Hammer’s best for Terence Fisher’s 1967 dark metaphysical horror “Frankenstein Created Woman”…The fourth entry in Hammer’s Frankenstein canon this stunning piece is a personal favourite and featured in Marcus Hearn’s excellent book “The Art of Hammer”. Originally rolled (as issued) and unrestored, it has some of the most memorable imagery of any Hammer poster…the image of Peter Cushing caressing a human skull and a bikini made of bandages are trademark Hammer. Presented in excellent high grade condition with minimal handling wear this represents a superb example of Hammer Horror cinema memorabilia.

    Trivia: “Frankenstein Created Woman” was originally mooted as a follow-up to “The Revenge of Frankenstein” during its production in 1958, at a time when Roger Vadim’s Et Dieu créa la femme (And God Created Woman) was successful (in fact, the film’s original working title was “And Then Frankenstein Created Woman”). The film finally went into production at Bray Studios on 4 July 1966. It was Hammer’s penultimate production there.

Originally included as an extra on the “From Dusk Till Dawn Collectors Series DVD before receiving a limited theatrical release, this is a genuinely scarce film poster. Originally, rolled (as issued) US One Sheet movie poster from 1997 displays and presents to excellent effect and represents a fine piece of hard to find cinematic movie memorabilia.

    “House of 1000 Corpses” is a stylish, gore-laden 2003 offering which marks marks the directorial debut of Trash/Industrial Artist Musician Rob Zombie. Largely unheard of outside Zombie’s fiercely loyal fanbase it grew to be a cult horror classic, proving hugely influential for the low budget flicks that followed. Because of a very limited cinema release schedule and a low print run these posters are genuinely rare and hard to find. This originally rolled (as issued) 2003 UK quad displays superbly with great horror imagery from British artist Graham Humphreys and represents a fine example of horror memorabilia.

    Trivia: Otis’ and Baby’s bizarre rants during the “home movie” segments are inspired by the Charles Manson family’s supposed home movies.
