    “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is one of the many major big screen movies delayed by the Covid 19 Pandemic and is currently scheduled for a November 2021 release. This first Advance one-sheet was printed (and dated) 2020 and was issued to accompany the first Trailer (link below); both feature the iconic ‘Ecto-1’. Designed by creative agency BOND it’s a marvellous nostalgia piece evoking great memories for fans of the original. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb unrestored example displays to excellent effect with minimal age and wear and represents a fine item of collectable film movie memorabilia for an amazing sequel to one the best movies to come out of the 80’s.

    Trivia: Director Jason Reitman appeared in Ghostbusters II (1989) as the kid who tells Ray that according to his dad, the Ghostbusters are “full of crap”.

    The Holy Grail of swinging sixties movie posters and featured in ‘Film Posters of the 60’s’ by Tony Nourmand and Graham Marsh…a 1968 UK quad film poster for Jack Cardiff’s cult  psychedelic ‘road’  movie “Girl on a Motorcycle” with a design by the artist John Armstrong whilst working for the advertising agency Lintas. This is an exceptional Style B example where Armstrong’s content and layout is perfectly suited by the landscape format of a UK quad. The tagline “She’s always naked under leather”  has never been more appropriate matched only by the sheer quality of this scarce country of origin example that really needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated. Offered here is one of the highest quality “Girl on a Motorcycle″ film poster to come to market for a very long time. As you would expect colours are deep and unfaded combined with sexually suggestive imagery that literally ‘pops’ from the paper. Totally original and unrestored in near flawless folded (as issued) condition…It is easily the best folded example of this poster I have ever offered for sale and represents a true investment grade piece of original highly collectable extremely scarce cinema movie memorabilia.

Designed by The Cimarron Group this ‘Reviews’ style UK quad film poster issued for this Oscar winning epic is presented rolled in high grade condition and displays superbly. Perfectly suited by the landscape format the imagery features Russell Crowe as the gladiator Maximus Decimus Meridius with Rome’s famous Colosseum acting as a stunning backdrop.

    Trivia: Russell Crowe later admitted that he initially felt unworthy of all the praise and the Oscar for Best Actor that he got for this movie. After seeing the completed movie, he felt it was a “director’s film”, and that the Oscar should have gone to director Sir Ridley Scott instead.

    The second part of Francis Ford Coppola’s Epic and violent Gangster Trilogy “The Godfather: Part II”, follows the reign of ‘new’ Don, Michael Corleone as the head of the Corleone family. The film shows us the early years of Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) played flawlessly by Academy Award Winner Robert De Niro, and how he created his empire of money, gambling and respect. Beautifully directed by Francis Ford Coppola, it exceeds every expectation with outstanding performances from Academy Award winners Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall and Robert De Niro. One of the finest films ever made, making this US, country of origin one-sheet from first year of release, 1974 highly desirable. Originally folded (as issued), the poster has been conservation linen backed with fold lines touched out and now presents to excellent effect that represents a truly outstanding item of original film movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: Hyman Roth’s character is loosely based on real-life mobster Meyer Lansky. Lansky, who at the time of the film’s release was living in Miami, reportedly phoned Lee Strasberg and said, “Now, why couldn’t you have made me more sympathetic ? After all, I am a grandfather.”

    Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” is an iconic motion picture and a giant of the gangster genre that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The movie poster imagery that accompanied the 1990 release was equally as striking. The central imagery of the three stars (De Niro, Pesci & Liotta) was used for the worldwide advertising campaign and those three characters are featured here, staring into the trunk of the car on this 2022 alternative movie poster by Florey and Matt Ferguson in one of the most memorable scenes from the movie as they get set to bury Billy Batts in the forest. A clever and eye-catching design this originally rolled (as issued) example displays & presents to excellent effect with beautiful dark colour tones and a red brake light that pops from the paper. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by both artists with a number (#20/200) matching that hand-written on the poster. Hugely desirable and a must have title for the serious poster collector or Goodfellas fan it represents a premium piece of quality collectable movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: The “How am I funny?” scene is based on something that actually happened to Joe Pesci. While working in a restaurant, a young Pesci apparently told a mobster that he was funny, a compliment that was met with a less-than-enthusiastic response. Pesci relayed the anecdote to Martin Scorsese, who decided to include it in the film. Scorsese didn’t include the scene in the shooting script, so that Pesci and Ray Liotta‘s interactions would elicit genuinely surprised reactions from the supporting cast.

The artwork for any of the film poster produced are all extremely collectable and strikingly individual in design; from the ‘Jack O’Lantern’ US one sheet to the UK quad film poster featuring a screaming Jamie Lee Curtis as Michael Myers’ hand appears at the car window; all seen through an icy blue haze. Offered here is one of the best of the more modern alternative movie poster designs by the artist Graham Humphreys. Humphreys’ stunning imagery and use of autumnal colour tones makes for a truly eye-catching piece. Released in 2019 as a limited edition of only 40 (this is hand-numbered #39) it immediately sold out when launched. Originally rolled, flat-unfolded (as issued) the example offered displays to exceptional effect and represents a truly outstanding and extremely desirable item of collectable John Carpenter horror movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: John Carpenter considered the hiring of Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate tribute to Sir Alfred Hitchcock who had given her mother, Janet Leigh, legendary status in Psycho (1960) (for the same reason, Dr. Sam Loomis was named after Sam Loomis from Psycho). During the same period, Universal studio producers and director Richard Franklin were trying to enroll Jamie Lee in the new production of Psycho II (1983).

Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful 2002 one-sheet presents to excellent effect and represents is a fine piece of genuinely scarce original Harry Potter and movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: The Weasleys’ car is a Ford Anglia. This is the same color and model car in which J.K. Rowling and her best friend from school used to ride around when they were younger. She used the car for the book, and later the movie, out of her fond memories of driving in it.

    The Harry Potter series of films is without doubt the biggest movie franchise of recent years with merchandise and memorabilia from the first instalment “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” very sought after and collectable. Several creative advertising agencies were commissioned to provide a wide and diverse range of posters for the initial release with the United States producing its own series of campaign posters under the amended ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’ title. Arguably one of the best is the painted, full cast artwork by Drew Struzan. Incredibly popular with fans and highly collectable it is no surprise that in 2023 Bottleneck Gallery released two high quality, limited edition prints of the artwork and it is the title style offered here which has been hand-numbered #95/550. The print quality and colour saturation is outstanding and truly a joy to behold in person. Originally rolled (as issued) this lovely example presents to excellent effect and represents is a fine piece of Harry Potter movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: The Hogwarts’ motto, “Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus”, means “never tickle a sleeping dragon”.

    Designed by the creative arts agency Feref Associates this colourful and energetic UK quad film poster is a fitting tribute to the over the top 80’s. Like many of this type of ‘art-house’ film the cinematic release was strictly limited, making any paper from the original release extremely scarce and very sought after by memorabilia and Dylan fans with the British UK quad design being particularly desirable. This original 1987 film poster with its stylised artwork and ‘in your face colours’ was originally folded (as issued) and remains in excellent unrestored condition. It displays and presents near flawlessly with amazing rich colour tones and represents a fine example of original and collectable movie and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia.
