    A terrifying eye-catching film poster for Ken Russell’s “Lair of the White Worm”. This original 1988 UK quad film poster is stunning; truly memorable horror imagery as we see a close up of snarling fanged snake-creature about to attack. Very in your face and not at all as understated and restrained (much like the legendary Director). With unique British, country of origin artwork this is an extremely desirable and very scarce poster. In excellent original, unrestored condition this folded (as issued) example displays to superb effect and represents an impressive item of original horror movie memorabilia from a cult British horror classic.

    Trivia: The D’Ampton worm is an obvious reference to the Lambton worm, which is a real English legend, dating back at least to the mediaeval period.

James Corden and Mathew Horne (yes, the two guys from the hit TV show “Gavin and Stacey”) in their first cinematic endeavour. This movie is often compared to “Shaun of the Dead” but with lesbian vampires and has established a real cult following of fans. A eye-catching poster design by FEREF makes for a desirable piece of original movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: Writers Stewart Williams and Paul Hupfield were challenged to think of the dumbest and yet most commercial title possible for a film, Lesbian Vampire Killers was the answer. They then went away and wrote the script.

    Trivia: The film was having trouble finding an American distributor when Trudie Styler called an acquaintance of hers – Tom Cruise. He attended a screening and loved the film. Matthew Vaughn later recalled, “It was hysterical. You had all these mid-level executives sitting there, and Cruise walked in. He saw them all sit up and pay attention, all getting on their phones, and suddenly all these senior executives joined the screening … At the end, Tom got up in front of everyone and said ‘This is the best movie I’ve seen in years, you guys would be fools not to buy it.’…”

Designed by TEA – The Entertainment Agency this example was originally issued rolled and displays superbly and represents a great piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: A speech given by Hugh Grant in this movie (where he extols the virtues of Great Britain and refuses to cave to the pressure of its longstanding ally, the United States) was etched in the transatlantic memory as a satirical, wishful statement on the concurrent relationship with George W. Bush. Tony Blair responded by saying in 2005, “I know there’s a bit of us that would like me to do a Hugh Grant in Love Actually (2003) and tell America where to get off. But the difference between a good film and real life is that in real life there’s the next day, the next year, the next lifetime to contemplate the ruinous consequences of easy applause.”

    Original Gramercy Pictures country of origin, one-sheet movie poster for the slapstick Kevin Smith romantic comedy, “Mallrats” starring Shannen Doherty, Jeremy London, Claire Forlani and Jason Lee. All of whom are featured on this 1995 comic book style film poster by Drew Struzan. This is the story of two friends who both lose their girlfriends on the same day and spend the rest of the day hanging out in a local mall with their wacky friends. With a clever design, Struzan does a great job of representing the characters, making them instantly recognisable; the addition of Stan Lee is a nice touch and he looks particularly cool. It displays to excellent effect and is presented in unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition. A rare high grade item of movie memorabilia for a very collectable ‘cult’ comedy film.

    Trivia: Brodie’s comic book collection seen in the movie was director Kevin Smith‘s collection at the time (which has grown considerably since). The collection is what Smith was able to purchase back after selling his original collection to finance production of Clerks (1994).

    2004 was a good year if you were a fan of the romantic zombie comedy horror movie with the release of Edgar Wright’s “Shaun of the Dead”. Largely unheard of it grew to be a cult British classic, proving hugely influential for the low budget Brit flicks that followed. Because of a very limited cinema release schedule and a low print run these posters are genuinely rare and hard to find. This originally rolled (as issued) 2004 country of origin UK quad displays superbly with great horror imagery by Creative Partnership and represents a super example of classic British cinema memorabilia.

    Trivia: First part of Simon Pegg‘s and Edgar Wright‘s Cornetto Trilogy. The other two parts are Hot Fuzz (2007) and The World’s End (2013).

    A striking movie poster that’s a well fitting design for this dark comedic horror “Stitches”. Designed by creative arts agency OC this British UK quad from 2012 is a great looking poster focuses on Ross Noble in full clown make-up as the dis-figured titular serial killer ‘Stitches’. A very creepy and eye-catching image. Although designed to look like a battered and distressed, it is printed on a heavier stock paper (which enhances and gives the muted colours a real depth) it actually presents near perfectly being originally rolled (as issued) and is genuinely scarce with very limited showings in a small number of ‘art-house’ & ‘specialist’ cinemas. A memorable piece of ‘modern’ horror film memorabilia that is hugely collectable encompassing not just movie fans but also the horror art marketplace and fans of the comedian Ross Noble.

    Trivia: The medication that Tommy takes to relieve anxiety is called “Hypnocil”, the same name as the medication used to suppress dreams in the Nightmare on Elm Street series.
