“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is a new concept for the Star Wars franchise originally created by George Lucas and set before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The first in a series of ‘standalone’ films, introducing a new group of heroes (& a well known villain) as the Rebellion makes a risky move to steal the plans to the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow. Released as a private commission in 2024, this Limited Edition fine art print for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” features beautifully illustrated artwork with an incredible colour palette by Fraser Gillespie. The hero of this chapter, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) takes prominence supported by the supporting cast, some familiar Star Wars mainstays and the logo of the Resistance a thoughtful backdrop. Hand-numbered #47 from a print run of only 60 and selling out immediately on release, this represents a rare and desirable example of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.

Trivia: Darth Vader’s appearance in this film is meticulously patterned after his look in the original Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). While Vader’s chest plate is uncovered in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983), his costume initially had his Sith robes draped over his shield, as well as red lenses in the eye holes of the mask. Considering this film takes place mere days before the original film, the costume designers recreated Vader’s look down to the last detail.

One of the greatest and most influential gangster movies of all time and this 2022 limited edition art print by Matt Ferguson and Florey is one of the best alternative movie posters produced for Brian De Palma’s “Scarface”. Hand-signed by both artists this artist proof edition released by Vice Press features a key scene from the movie as Tony Montana sits brooding in his darkened study awaiting the violent and bloody onslaught he knows is coming with the rug cleverly illustrated to resemble a river of blood. A fantastic example of highly desirable movie memorabilia, that’s very cool and looks incredible.
Trivia: The international corporation set up by Saddam Hussein to launder money from his various enterprises was called Montana Management after the Scarface (1983) main character.

Jonathan Demme’s “The Silence of the Lambs” is one of the best horror thriller movies ever made; excellent Award winning performances, full of dark humour and gory thrills. For this 2023 Mad Duck release, artist Paul Mann has produced a scene based alternative movie poster. The scene featured is a pivotal scene as Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) meets with Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal Lecter) for the first time and it’s the only scene in the movie in which both actors actually appear in the same frame. Screen print finish with varnish over the glass, this hand-numbered example #180/250 is presented in excellent rolled (as issued) condition that display superbly and represents a fine item of movie poster memorabilia.
Trivia: When Sir Anthony Hopkins found out that he was cast as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, based on his performance as Dr. Frederick Treves in The Elephant Man (1980), he questioned director Jonathan Demme, and said “But Dr. Treves was a good man”, to which Demme replied “So is Lecter, he is a good man too. Just trapped in an insane mind.”

Resistance is futile !…Part of the appeal of “Star Trek: First Contact”, is that the central enemy is the Borg, which has surpassed all other villainous races in the Star Trek universe in popularity. The design of the Borg is unsettling, and the story line and history of this race serves to illicit an emotional continuity between the events in the television show and the films. “Star Trek: First Contact” probably has the widest appeal of all of the episodes (TV and cinematic). It is action packed, filled with top rate visual effects, and an iconic, threatening villain in The Borg. That is all beautifully realised here by artist Paul Mann on this 2025 alternative movie poster. Hand-numbered #2 from a print run of 185, Mann’s imagery is stunning with colours (thanks to being printed on Mirri Rainbow Foil paper) absolutely popping from the paper, giving an almost 3D effect – it really has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The Evil Borg Queen, played with real icy menace by Alice Krige takes prominence with Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the crew of the USS Enterprise providing visual backup. The rolled (as issued) example offered here displays and presents to excellent effect and represents a desirable item of re-imagined Star Trek cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: James Cromwell became the first actor in Star Trek history to actually utter the phrase “star trek”.

“From a barbed-wire camp to a barbed-wire country, they made…THE GREAT ESCAPE !”
A very rare find, an original 2022 alternative movie poster by Steve Chorney for John Sturges’ wartime adventure “The Great Escape”. One of the biggest films of all times certainly deserves a striking poster and Chorney’s limited edition offering certainly impresses. As a homage to posters of the 60s and 70s the great ensemble cast have their headshots in a row towards the bottom of the design, Hendley -“The Scrounger” (James Garner), Danny – “The Tunnel King” (Charles Bronson), Danny – “The Tunnel King” (Charles Bronson), Ashley-Pitt “Dispersal” (David McCallum), Blythe – The Forger” (Donald Pleasence), Bartlett “Big X” (Richard Attenbrough), Sedgwick “Manufacturer” (James Coburn) and of course dominating the imagery Hilts-“Cooler King” (Steve McQueen), not just an incredible headshot, but McQueen in action (from the finale of the movie) attempting his legendary motorbike jump escape. Although the most memorable scene from the film it doesn’t feature on any of the original 1963 paper and only on a handful or later release posters, making this artwork, super desirable. A nice touch is the inclusion of Hannes Messemer who played the Kamp Kommandant Von Luger. Released as a limited edition, hand-numbered (#88/90) fine art print, the giclee finish gives a freshly painted effect. The portrait format makes for a truly stunning piece that presents to excellent effect and represents a superb example of very rare collectable film memorabilia from one of the greatest film’s ever made and featuring a character and final scene that has become synonymous with screen legend Steve McQueen and is regarded as a much loved classic and one of McQueen’s signature roles.
Trivia: During the climactic motorcycle chase, director John Sturges allowed Steve McQueen to ride (in disguise) as one of the pursuing German soldiers, so that in the final sequence, through the magic of editing, he’s actually chasing himself. McQueen played the German motorcyclist who hits the wire.
What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

Trivia: Oakley Court, Dr. Frank N. Furter’s “castle”, was used in numerous Hammer horror films made at adjacent Bray Studios (where the lab and ballroom scenes were shot), including The House in Nightmare Park (1973), The Reptile (1966) and The Brides of Dracula (1960)

A superb and eye-catching alternative movie poster by Graham Humphreys’ for the cult dark comedy horror “What We Do in the Shadows”. Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement.created the clever idea of a family of vampires living together under the same roof and the struggles they encounter in modern day life. Each vampire housemate bears some resemblance to a past screen vampire – Nosferatu, David (Lost Boys), Dracula (Gary Oldman), Edward (Twilight zone) and Louis fromInterview With the Vampire. And it’s these five who feature on this 2015 Hand-Numbered (#AP 39/40) Artist Proof print that has also been signed by the artist – Graham Humphrey. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition with amazingly vibrant colour tones that truly pop from the paper (the photo doesn’t do this justice)it almost appears to be painted. A super-cool piece of cinematic memorabilia and artwork.
Trivia: The hill where the vampires have a run-in with the werewolves is the same hill filmed in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), where Frodo and the hobbits are running from the Black Rider and hiding under the roots of a tree.
