    Jim Henson, George Lucas and David Bowie take you into a dazzling world of fantasy and adventure.

    A beautiful poster for Jim Henson’s animatronic fantasy masterpiece “Labyrinth” Receiving a cinema release in 1986, the example offered here is for the first video (VHS) in 1987 and features the the incredible artwork of Ted CoConis as originally used for the US marketing campaign. It’s an incredibly detailed illustration with stunning renditions of David Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly as the hero Sarah, both set against a backdrop of Jim Henson’s and Brian Froud’s  goblins, creatures, fairies and monsters. A magnificent, visual and detailed masterpiece of a poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this unrestored film poster presents superbly and is a fine example of rare and collectable memorabilia for a much loved fantasy classic.

    Trivia: Michael Jackson, Prince, and Mick Jagger were considered to play Goblin King Jareth. Jim Henson preferred Sting, until his kids convinced him that David Bowie would be best suited to it. Bowie wanted to make a children’s movie and liked the concept and script, so agreed to take the part.

    Truly one of the greatest gangster films ever made Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America. An epic, episodic, tale of the lives of a small group of New York City Jewish gangsters spanning over 40 years and thankfully it has a movie poster to match it. This original 1984 US one-sheet features beautiful atmospheric design with a fantastic image of the Brooklyn Bridge and sepia colours that are a perfect complement to Leone’s film. Originally folded (as issued) this rare example is presented in beautiful unrestored condition; it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an impressive example of very collectable original movie memorabilia from a multi award winning film and one of cinema’s leading directors.

    Trivia: Sergio Leone had refused the offer to direct The Godfather (1972), an opportunity he deeply regretted. This may have partly inspired him to try a gangster film. Leone has also notably used the flashback technique pioneered in The Godfather: Part II (1974).

    Very scarce…An award winning film and an award winning poster campaign. Incredible artwork by NB Studio has produced one of the best looking film posters of recent years; a truly brilliant looking example of modern poster design for Darren Aronofsky’s intense drug addiction drama “Requiem for a Dream”. Aronofsky’s films have a tradition for outstanding poster designs (Black Swan, Pi, The Wrestler) and have become very desirable with a strong, loyal following. This rare original 2000 UK quad film poster is a great example of modern poster design and artwork; memorable imagery and bold use of colour (the blue used in the “eye” is really piercing)…Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful example displays to excellent effect and represents a fine piece of original collectable film memorabilia.

    Trivia: Darren Aronofsky shot the film like a hip-hop montage (a sequence of extremely short shots) to get the sense of overwhelming addiction and loss of control. An average 100-minute film contains 600 to 700 cuts; this one contains over 2,000.
