Heaven Can Wait

In 1978 this cinema image was the largest selling commercial poster in the USA. The magnificent artwork was created by the extremely talented Birney Lettick. One of the most memorable images of the 1970's is beautifully represented here with this original UK quad film poster. Originally folded this displays superbly, looking absolutely fantastic in this format. Painted, eye-catching design this would make for a fine addition (or starting point) for any movie memorabilia collection.

"A nervous romance"...A very nice solid example from Woody Allen's 1977 New York set romantic (neorotic) comedy "Annie Hall". This original UK quad is a rare format for this sought after poster. This originally folded piece displays very well retaining a crisp whiteness to its finish. Woody Allen is the king of the obscure New York comedy and this fine example will not disappoint.

"Forged by a god..Foretold by a wizard..Found by a King"...Bob Peak produced some fantastic film posters thoughout his long career. This original 1981 US One Sheet for the John Boorman Arthurian fantasy is one of the highlights. Beautifully painted artwork this originally folded example displays very well with deep rich colours. A rare example of exceptional poster artwork.

Star Trek (2009)

"The Future Begins"...This original 2009 UK Quad film poster (final release version) is my personal favourite from the BLT & Associates designed series. Crisp close ups of of the three main characters; Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Uhura (Zoe Saldana)and a tantalising glimpse of an under construction USS Enterprise makes for a truly striking poster. Originally rolled this displays superbly...a real eye-catching piece !

Ordinary People

"Everything is in its proper place... Except the past"..Rare and original UK Quad film poster for Robert Redford's 1980 multi-Oscar winning family drama "Ordinary People". Originally folded this displays very well with unfaded deep rich colour. Nice solis example. featuring classic, simple design on a very rare and sought after film poster.

Batman Begins

"Bruce Wayne became what he was destined to be: Batman"...Striking design by Vox and Associates for this Advance "Coming Soon" One Sheet for Christopher Nolan's 2005 revamping of The Caped Crusader..."Batman begins". This is the eye-catching and very rare Style B featuring Batman, Year One style with an unconscious Rachel Dawes. This original rolled example looks amazing and displays superbly presented here in INVESTMENT GRADE condition.

Giant - "Geant"

"Jett Rink was made to get to the top...so he could have the fun of falling all the way down"...Beautiful and incredibly rare set of 6 original French lobby cards from 1957 the first year of release in France. Four scene cards are totally different to the US set with the remaining two cards being legendary & iconic images of James Dean; shotgun scross his shoulders with Leslie (Elizabeth Taylor) & lounging in his car (almost silhouetted) against a vast sky and mansion house. The starkness of the black & white certainly adds to the moodiness and emotional effect of the set. Presented in excellent condition and includes the original Warner Bros. France "Geant" liveried envelope. A fine set that acts as a fitting tribute to a true screen great !

Rebel Without A Cause - "La Fureur de Vivre"

"Jim Stark..a kid from a 'good' family..what makes him tick..like a bomb?"...Exceptionally rare set of 6 original French lobby cards from 1956 the first year of release in France. Five scene cards are totally different to the US set with the remaining one card being a classic James Dean image as he loiters on the steps of the police station - Juvenile Division. The starkness of the black & white certainly adds to the moodiness and emotional effect of the set. Presented in excellent condition and includes the original Warner Bros. France "La Fureur de Vivre" liveried envelope. A fine set with Dean featured prominently in all of them.

French Connection, The

"Doyle is BAD NEWS - but a GOOD COP!"...A really nice poster from one of the best thrillers of the 70's. Fantastic, hard hitting all-action imagery featuring the anti-hero Popeye Doyle (Gene Hackman). This original 1971 US One Sheet movie poster war originally folded and has since been linen backed. It now looks very impressive and displays very well and is a nice solid example that really captures the feel and look of the period.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

"One of the most unabashedly enjoyable cinematic events of all time !"...Brian Bysouth was the artist responsible for this beautiful 1981 "Raiders of the Lost Ark" UK Quad film poster. Probably not as recognisable as the version produced by Richard Amsel for the main campaign but equally as stunning. Fantastic detailling and very crisp design giving a more kinetic action feel to the viewer as the whip flies...Looking spectacular with deep rich colours this originally folded example is presented in INVESTMENT GRADE QUALITY. Much rarer design that is becoming extremely hard to find.

Alien

"In space no one can hear you scream"...One of cinemas all time classic images is this one designed by the creative agency Bemis Balkind. Shown here on a Country of origin (British) UK Quad film poster from first year of release 1979 for Ridley Scott's Iscar winning deep space horror "Alien". Easily the nicest example I have had the pleasure to offer for sale. Originally folded (light foldlines) there is no fading with lovely deep black background and a truly luminous green seeping from the alien "egg"...INVESTMENT GRADE QUALITY for a very rare iconic British film poster from a truly influential movie that changed the face of modern sci-fi horror forever.

Manhattan

"Magical film about New York City and those looking for love"...An exceptional example from Woody Allen's 1979 romantic comedy "Manhattan". A celebration of New York this original US One Sheet is the much rarer Style B. "Bridge" version featuring the famous skyline logo design by Joseph Caroff - the first A is the Chrysler Building, the H the Twin Towers followed by The Empire State Building....Originally folded this displays superbly retaining a crisp whiteness to its finish. Brokeback Mountain

"Love Is A Force Of Nature"...Beautiful touching image of the two stars (Heath Ledger & Jake Gyllenhaal) for Ang Lee's cowboy romance "Brokeback Mountain"...This original 2005 UK Quad film poster is the much rarer non-Oscar version. Originally rolled this displays very well with deep rich colour. Despite the Film's publicity at time of release it was only shown in a small number of cinemas making the posters extremely rare and sought after.

Metropolis (2010)

"There can be no understanding between the hands and the brain unless the heart acts as mediator"...Based upon an original 1927 design by Boris Bilinsky this stunning original UK quad for the 2010 re-release is a visual treasure. Reconstructed and restored with an additional 25 minutes Fritz Lang's sci fi classic is truly deserving the accolade of a cinematic masterpiece. Originally rolled this looks spectacular and displays as new....Due to a very limited release these examples are extremely scarce and sought after...Investment grade quality.

Die Hard

"40 Storeys High - with Suspense, Excitement and Adventure on every level! "...Incredibly rare, rolled, yes a rolled original UK Quad film poster for John McTiernan's ground breaking actioner "Die Hard". This final release version (looks great in this landscape format) featuring close up of John Maclane (Bruce Willis) and an exploding Nakatomi Tower looks superb. Fantastic example this displays superbly. Alien - 1994 RR - Killian Enterprises 15th Anniversary

"Sometimes the scariest things come from within"...How different things could have been ? The John Alvin artwork used for "Alien" by Killian Enterprises for their 1994, 15th Anniversary Commemorative Edition poster was originally considered for the original 1979 release. However the Studio (Fox) didn't want any hint as to how this iconic creature would look. Originally rolled and printed on slightly heavier paper this outstanding example ticks all the boxes. It looks fantastic and displays superbly.
