The Magnificent Seven
Year: 1960
Size/Type: US One Sheet (27" x 41")
Country of Origin: USA
Condition: Very Fine plus ; originally folded now restored and linen backed
Director: John Sturges
Actor/Actress:
Comments: John Sturges' feelgood western adventure re-making Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" with more than a hint of John Ford's "The Searchers".
Amazing foresight in casting the "Seven" as at the time the only established Hollywood star was Yul Brynner with Steve McQueen, Eli Wallach, James Coburn, Charles Brobson & Robert Vaughn all yet to make real names for themselves.
A hugely influential movie which spawned three sequals, a TV Series & is referenced & copied in some form or other in literally hundreds of other productions over the years.
NSS number 60/304
