Comments: With the behind the scenes problems it's amazing that this sequal turned out as good as it did. Judged by fans & critics as superior to the original with fine direction by Richard Lester & a tight plot by Mario Puzo (The Godfather). Christopher Reeve was again superb as The Man of Steel with Terence Stamp turning in a memorable performance as the evil Kryptonian General Zod. A character rumoured to be re-appearing in the current Superman movie in production ?
