Comments: The penultimate Hammer film to be produced at Hammer's home, Bray Studios. It is one of the most critically acclaimed of the Hammer Frankenstein films as it delves into the soul and the metaphysical. Like Universal's 'Bride of Frankenstein', this was originally scheduled to be the follow up to Hammers 1958 blockbuster hit 'The Revenge of Frankenstein', but for reasons unknown the production was put on the back burner until 1966.
